For 50Hz, the black levels increase quite a bit. Same with 24p with Cinema Smooth on. If Cinema smooth is not on, then the panel refreshes at 60Hz. If u r sensitive u will notice judder for 24p material with Cinema smooth off. With it on, the black levels deteriorate. Its a trade off either way.

Hi anfield,

With ref to your recent post on "Samsung C6500 owners thread, Everything regarding C6500", I would like to know further abt this 50Hz issues:

Does these symptoms happen to Panny V20 as well? or is it better in black levels when the Cinema Smooth is on since the V20 has its Infinite Black feature to compensate the lost (black levels deteriorate) in comparison with c6500 (this model without the so-called Real Black Filter of Sammy)?

Thanks a lot.

Hi anfieldude,

Any preferred or reference settings (simply by adjusting Modes' contrast, brightness ...including the Professional isfccc setting, etc.) particularly for V20 before and after break-in period (before Calibration) based on your latest findings?

Thanks a lot.

While I do like Panasonic's Plasma, I find even LG have more trendy and fashionable bezel.

Well, LG may be more contemporary & fancy look, while Panny more towards classic & elegant look (especially V20 that denied the ordinary black bezel). Anyway, it solely depends on each individual preference and taste on the appearance. Thanks.

im gonna wait v20 to come with black bezel. the grey its actually abit distracting bcoz black bezel is the one to give best contrast to the display

In fact, it doesn't really looks light grey in color (not something like the one shown in the Sports channels - the EPL live that sponsored by Panny), it's more in dark grey or copper metal look especially under the yellow or warm lighting.

When u talked about "giving the best contrast to the display" concept, isn't it better to have lighter color surrounding/background (eg. white wall), or ambience light in white?
