rclxms.gif thanks for the info....
how long normally can extend the warranty? what is the price?

You can choose another 1 year or 2 years. The cost depends on your tv type and size. When you key in your tv serial number, they will know how much to quote you.

V20 is not 3D compatible. the 3D model should be VT20.

Our V20 was purchased directly from our business contact in Panasonic Malaysia for demo purpose. We cannot disclose the price as it's not applicable for retail pricing.

what floating black ? where got such thing .

for last year affected models ,panny call it a feature by design and not default . for this year models , the pannys will still grow white hair but at slower pace

example like this , first when we are young, our hair very black and as we grow older our hairs turn grey and finally white , some even platinum

but i noticed my V black levels is getting darker lately

Don't confuse floating blacks with rising blacks.

For me, Panasonic LED TV has an excellent image quality.
It looks much better than my 42" Pana plasma TV.
I would have bought it if it comes in bigger size like 50".

very few people unless there are in AD expert category knows how to detect this panny issues of rising and floating blacks by the naked eyes . unless we first calibrate the display black and white levels when the panel is still new and after certain thousands of hours of usages , we could not be too sure above this distractions .

steadypana

so for me i will only start to get worries after 2,000 hrs which is still a long way to go and meanwhile , i will just enjoy it's company for i know if the panny have this issues , it will be very minimal and insignificant

the pannys have had floating black issues since a couple of years ago but how many in malaysia realised about this

neb

i have found the new secret on how to improve black levels to almost charcoal black and i have to thank AD for giving the pointers in this forum a couple of months back

what about bulu? Does it change white too?

don't ask me as i'm still a virgin

Mr Horny

by your statement , it mean that you haven noticed any significant changes to your panny display and if that is the case , the smart thing to do is "do not go looking for it "

just enjoy your beautiful TV with your beautiful honey , whoever that lucky woman may be

I agree. If u hv not noticed anything with regards to these 2 issues, be happy with the set.

Use a bias lighting behind the display. Make sure that it is not too bright, very little intensity. It is improvement in perceived blacks.

Some tips from Google since I'm also following up on this topic:

Bias Lighting

Basically using a clip-on desk lamp with 6500K 13W compact fluorescent bulb. Look at the accompanying youtube video for more description.
