Hi yangxi, after I update firmware for m2 I bought from u, when I play jpeg file, how come my songs will play when the picture show? Is it a bug?

Not likely bcoz mine is new HD, juz install and format using the player.

U use USB cable to copy file or networking? What brand of HDD you used?

i would like to know is there any step to safely and properly shut down the hdpro? As there's a time i try to shut down the unit and it show, "Shutting Down, Please wait!" and the unit just hang there and i just power the switch. and a few days ago, i found out that those readable files gone missing again!!! it became an invalid file format! I am getting sick of this round and round problem, I've flash back using 29 Dec 2010 restore default and the unit is running fine for a few months b4 this problem coming back again!!

please get a proper fix for this.

its been a hot thread since ckboon is here, i have a lot of problem too but i just e-mail yangxi for explanation

anyway, I also got problem with .rmvb files.
My firmware : Jan 2011
So, any new firmware that can fix this problem? or just have to revert to old June 2010 firmware ?

Yes, "readable RMVB file become corrupted" it is the same problem, after stuck playing it on hdpro, it become corrupted when I check it on my laptop. So, I have no choice, have to delete my rmvb corrupted file

Another issues that I still waiting for the proper fix is ;
1. Cannot play sound while viewing Pictures [slideshow mode]
So boring watch slideshow with no sound, with all my family >.<
I dont know it is fixed already or not.
2. Slideshow effect bug.

after stuck? mine is not stuck.. i copied the fully readable file and play the whole file till end. then 2 weeks later i tried to replay the file and found that it's corrupted, some with the original file size and some become 0kb. It's like WTF ... i've just make a quick check on rmvb file, dunno this happen to my mkv files or not as there's some 10G ++ file there that i haven't watch and i don't have any backup on my PC, since my PC is out space so i transferred all big big 1080p mkv file to the player, and now this happen, hopefully not to those big file (finger crossed)!

I mean after it stucks for a moment with blank screen then the player auto boot, my mkv files works fine.

nope, i didn't disconnect the HDD during firmware update.

HDD formatted using the stock firmware, 29 dec 2010 ver.

today will send out new set let u test..

*need disconnect hdd first before update, safe.

I noticed new issues, filecopy corrupted, copied .mp3 file to new destination in same hardisk,
new copied file .mp3 corrupted sized only 64 kb..

filecopy currupt issue still investigate . suggest u reformat again in march version. try ~
