I posted in a few pages back about the phone consuming a lot of battery while being idled and both mobile internet and wifi turned off at night. I found a very 'unscientific' way which might help. I took off the battery from the phone last night. shake it very hard and put it back and start charging .After fully charged, i play music for about 1hr and surf net on and off in between.I also kept the wifi on throughout the night. As the time of posting this, the battery is still 90% after running for 8.5hrs since the last charge. Do try it out fellows. biggrin.gif

Interesting. But I'm just curious, where did you get the idea from? I mean... of all things, how did it cross your mind that by "shaking it very hard" it would help with the battery life?

Then that's where the problem is. 99% of all clocks/alarms problems are caused by people using task killers. U can just delete those task killers man, android doesn't need them smile.gif

A forumer had answered it and I had also chimed in on the answer too. search between page 42-48ish for the answer.

Or view my posts on my profile. whichever is simpler for you.

Well, i did it just out of frustration because for the last few days my battery went down to below 20% before i arrrived home at around 7.00 p.m even without making any call and with just minimum surfing. But don't know why my battery was showing 94% when i woke up this morning at 7a.m. So i suspect the shaking i did last night could have done some miracles to it. My battery still has 70% left now after 16.5hrs since last charge and normally by now. it is about 50% left. biggrin.gif

idk how to help you on that. seems like you have trouble with settings inside your yahoo mail rather than inside htc legend.

Coming to the battery shaking thingy. how it? does it work?

Is Android as user-friendly as other mobile OS such as iOS or Maemo? Planning to get this Legend, coming from ex-iPhone user. Don't really give much thought on iPhone 4 by the way.

well, most of us here are vested in their Legend and you'll probably get a biased answer. biggrin.gif
I'll say try playing with your friend's Android phone and get a feel for it.
imho, i definitely thinks it's better than 3gs.

For me , I ll just use car charger or those portable charger rather than getting a spare battery. Lithium batt can just charge as and when needed.

As for task killer, I m using Auto task killer which works fine for me. Just have to select which apps to kill during the setup.

Cheers

How many of you are using matte SP for your Legend? How's the screen quality like? I've got clear SP but am starting to have second thoughts due to the sheer amount of fingerprints I have to deal with everyday. sad.gif
