Maxis is also offering Legend plans here. Not any better than Digi smart plan though IMO.

QUOTE(gemenilim @ Apr 30 2010, 02:11 PM) + and - actually is almost same, if use 12 months contract to compare. It's hardly competition. Digi smart plan is clearly superior. Although I missed out the fact Maxis offers an 18-month extended warranty (on top of the original 12-months I assume). So pay more for extra warranty period? But maxis always lose a bit in marketing strategy , compare to digi (just my opinion). But a good compete can bring more benefits to consumer |

How does the LED notifications work for you guys? Does it blink indefinitely until you read the notifications or does the blinking stop after some time?
My LED blinks for about ~5 mins only. I wouldn't know of any notification if I leave my phone for more than 5 mins. Anyone having the same problem? |

QUOTE(sochaiapk @ Jun 7 2010, 04:39 PM) Using the Legend for almost 2mths now.Notice something weird about the battery consumption. I fully charged the phone and unplugged the cable before 12am everyday. Also turned off the Wifi and MobileInternet before that . Sometimes when i wake up at 7am, battery only left 75% and most of the time is 95% and above. I checked the battery usage when it was at 75% and 50% of it used by Cell Standby. That means the 7-8hrs of idle time actually used up 25% of a fully charged phone. This could also happen in the morning when i am not using the phone at all for several hrs and turned both Wifi and Mobile Internet off, 20-30% gone when the phone is idle.Could it because the phone battery is used up due to poor network signal reception and need to work harder to detect the signal. Anyone experience this funny battery usage pattern like me. BTW , I 'm using Maxis. Same here. I usually charge the phone and head to bed so when I wake up it'll be at 100% - still plugged into the charger. There was once I managed to fully charge my phone before heading to bed so I unplugged it only to wake up the next morning with the battery only at ~80%. I know it's damaging to keep the battery maxed out at 100% for hours but I can't leave home the next morning with only 80% of battery. So far I've been leaving the charger in overnight - no choice. |

How many of you are using matte SP for your Legend? How's the screen quality like? I've got clear SP but am starting to have second thoughts due to the sheer amount of fingerprints I have to deal with everyday.

QUOTE(ashburn98 @ Jun 14 2010, 09:32 PM) my friend bought his Legend with PDAexpert and got a free matte SP. That matte SP made the screen really unresponsive (relatively speaking) compared to my clear SP. I flick my thumb to cycle the home screens but I need to press and swipe with my thumb on his matte SP. Maybe it's just a cheap quality matte SP, I don't know. Wow, I didn't know matte SPs degrade touchscreen responsiveness. I thought their only con is somewhat pixelate the screen.QUOTE(chinook @ Jun 14 2010, 10:33 PM) Back to using matte sp since 2 weeks ago after a few days of clear sp. No difference. I'm following the same trend too. Just ordered myself a matte SP too after a few weeks of putting up with smudges on my clear SP.In case anyone wants to know, changing screen protectors is cheap thanks to this guy: antho1. Look him up in garage sales. Less than 5 bucks per sp. Quality is pretty good as well from what I can see. The screen protector I bought from lowyat for RM30 is the same as the one I bought from him for RM4. |

Why would you use a case on your Legend? Kind of defeats the purpose of getting a sexy, good-to-touch aluminium phone in the first place dontcha think?

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Jun 20 2010, 08:30 PM) Some people say the wifi signal weak is cause by the aluminium body, abit reasonable but not sure true or not. It's true, since aluminium - and most metals for that matter - reflect radio signals, weakening its strength. That's why the Legend's radio antennas are built onto the plastic battery compartment cover. HTC recommends that you try not to cover the bottom cover with your palm to improve reception - a bit hard to do while holding the phone if you'd ask me. |

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Jun 20 2010, 09:26 PM) Too bad if really cause by the aluminium body, i planning to get legend or samsung wave as my 1st touch screen hp, it seem legend out!!! Don't rule out the Legend just because it's aluminium-made! There's nothing wrong with the aluminium, it's just reception seems to be slightly weaker - not totally unusable. It varies from person to person but mine's usually only a bar weaker than other phones, if not the same. Call quality is superb, zero dropped calls so far. Wifi speed is fast as long as you're not 2-3 walls away from your wireless point.Added on June 20, 2010, 9:33 pm Yea, if only listen radio need to take out the cover still ok. Besides, u also from Kch? By the way, the radio antennas I meant are Wifi and cellular network antennas. Not the FM radio antenna. |

QUOTE(Warwick @ Oct 5 2010, 11:42 AM) androidcommunity.com/htc-phantom-black-legend-brilliant-white-desire-get-official-20101004/ Only the AC article seem to mention the black legend will be preloaded with Froyo, the official press release said nothing about 2.2. My guess it's misinterpretation on AC's part. Still hope im wrong and froyo really is coming to our Legends though.. Looks real sleek! Wonder if can spray matt black hehe! This "sos" says the phantom black legend will come with froyo |
