Yup its true that some iPhones have a gap on left between the screen and the chrome. If u observe this in a dark room, you will notice light leaking smile.gif

As a consumer, we surely can tell Digi to replace it. If I were you I will LC the Digi guy as well. LC him until I got a good one  biggrin.gif

I agree that most telco not in good attitude but I never expect a manager from a store will act like "ah BEng". I don't really like maxis either but at least they know how to respect customers. I change my iPhone 16gb when the maxis stuff open up for me, coz I feel like the phone sticker has been removed, and they nvr complain or argue with me.

TO DIGI,

Please learn to be polite and know how to treat your valuable customers. Being cheap is not the only way. Don't make itself as cheap as ur plan.

went to Digi this morning to wait for my turn to get the iphone but had to wait 30mins for my turn..aiyo, then the branch manager personnally take my order and apologies to me that her staffs are preoccupied with other customers.very cute manager i'd say ok ehem..i told her i'm purchasing 3 iphones and their Customer Service quite good..package deal also especially for the data excellent..almost unlimited plan but after quota of 1gb is over then speed is cut down to gprs speed..but still quite good. icon_rolleyes.gif

I have posted the same question on Digi Facebook but yet to get reply.

QUOTE
EPP24 for iPhone 16G with iDigi 88 = RM159.

The Calculation:
((iDigi88x24) + 5%(service tax)) + iPhone 16GB = RM3807.6
RM3807.6 / 24 = RM158.65

But:
RM159 - RM158.65 = 0.35 * 24 = RM8.40.

The Question:
Where will the RM8.40 goes???

I just my iPhone at Ipoh Digi Centre. Very fast although inside was super crowded!! I take iDigi 88 and 16GB White, paying 24month EPP. They swipe my card for RM3807.60 which is RM158.65/month. not RM3810.00~

Thanks for the update. I also when to the D'Chat and inquire. Same answer as you have given.
They say the website has to round it up so that it looks neat.

How come my iPhone doesn't have this option on General --> Network --> "Cellular Data Network" ????

You can try to Install a Fake APN Profile.
Start your SAFARI via WIFI, go to http://www.unlockit.co.nz/
Install the Fake APN Profile and you will not have 3G/EDGE/GPRS accessing out from your iPhone.
To uninstall the Fake APN Profile, goto Settings > General and scroll down.
You'll see Profile - Fake APN.

This is good when you are traveling overseas.
You won't want your iPhone to access any data while you are elsewhere outside M'sia.
Hope it helped!

When your roaming, there is a simple way to avoid data usage.

General -> Network -> Data roaming = OFF.

Ic...

one more thing, i know tht 3G/E/0 sign on the top left corner shows us we are in 3G/E/0 coverage area, but how can we know tht actually we are currently connecting to 3G/E/0 or not? which will charge(deduct) over data charges(quota)?

I have checked with maxis centre and the 1gb data cap applies to 3g, GPRS and edge chrges. So no extra charges will be implied if you using edge or GPRS. The only prob is you find it hard go keep track of the usage for edge and GPRS as it is not stated in the usage meter.

I'm using a Maxis subline with an iPhone not from Maxis.
I didn't want to use any data from my Maxis line hence i switched off the Data Roaming.
However, I found out my iPhone was STILL accessing data when my monthly bill came.
I suspected it was because of my Sygic GPS app.
From then till now, I'll install the Fake APN whenever I'm in Malaysia. sad.gif
