there is no worth plan.. if u use data more thn it's worth.. call more thn i can assure u tat u haf to pay more as the free voice given is lil. unless u go for higher plan such as idigi238 as it provide u free voice 1000 mins, bt it's costly..

y would u say 6 mths idigi plan save u RM88?? u still haf to pay tat amt too..

the difference between upfront payment and the EPP is indeed RM88.
but when you factor in that you get 0% interest, within 2-3years time the RM88 is actually a small amount to pay; and inflation-wise etc, it is better than saving the RM88.

which means I dun have to pay anything (like purchase price etc.. etc..) and just pay the rm159 and I can get the iPhone already?

not a bad idea... as I'm paying Rm150 for my bill monthly with maxis right now...might not be a bad idea to get iPhone and DiGi plan now.. brows.gif

now.. what is upfront payment?? Is it EPP = Rm159 monthly covers the cost of iPhone and upfront payment = pay for the price of the phone but only rm88 per month??

you will need to charge to your credit card for roughly 4-4.5k for the EPP.
or if you don't want EPP, you need to pay/swipe for the discounted iPhone price + 6 months upfront payment of the chosen plan.

Just collected mine frm 1U during lunch hours, the process wasn't that smooth though, I felt like sharing with you guys especially those who may have the same doubts as me.

Before signing up for the iphone plan, my concern is mainly on whether the free calls and sms between me and my supp line still remain the same after I've switched to iDigi plan. So the first thing I arrived I grabbed a pretty girl and asked her this question, and she told me it will remain the same.

So I got my ticket number and waited inside for payment, another girl approach me and asked if I understand the plan totally. I thought why not ask again the same question to be sure. However, this girl told me a totally different thing, she said supp line call main line is free, but main line calls supp line need to charge following the rates in the new iphone plan because I've changed to a new plan !

I was quite upset and unhappy because different people telling me different things. I asked her to confirm again, and she said with confidence that it's confirmed. In the end I told her I have to give up on the iphone because that's totally not what I expected, my monthly bill will definitely blown up because I have to call my supp line (which is my gf) everyday for around an hour.

Just when I was walking off from the booths, I grabbed another guy and asked the same question again, this time he told me everything remain same and free between main and supp line, I was like "WTF !?"..... I told him another girl was telling me different thing, and this helpful guy immediately went to confirm for me. He told me he has asked the most knowledgable and experienced person in Digi, and it's confirmed main line calls supp line is free, no deduction from the iphone plan free talk time or free sms at all !

At that moment, I don't know who to trust really, there's no black and white on this by Digi and I don't want to sign up for 24 months plan only to find out that I have to pay extra for calling my supp line.

Fortunately enough, at the right time, the girl who told me different story previously, came back to me and apologize to me saying that she has confused me with wrong information, few people actually came and apologized to me and said they were looking for me to explain on the plan again. I felt more relief and confidence after that, but still disappointed with the knowledge of their staffs....

In the end, I walk off with an iphone 32GB white smile.gif

WayneRooney. DiGi should actually put all this in their FAQ or wherever black and white as people can get confused since iDiGi plans are plans by themselves, but in retrospect, are actually extensions of current DiGi plans.

Upfront payment refers to the monthly subscription fees paid in advance.
For example, if you want to pay by cash, you need to pay 6 months of monthly subscription fees in advance.
If you want to pay by installments, you need to pay 24 months of monthly subscription fees in advance.

Still no black and white on this, I just had their staff names that's all. I chose to trust them at the end because all of them at least saying the same thing in the end.

If anyone is not confidence enough just based on what they said, I advice you not to get the phone so early, maybe can wait for a month or so, then you can ask those who've got their phone bill already to be 100% sure smile.gif

Ok.. according to this:

The package that interests me is iDiGi 88 - EPP 24 (Rm159).

So... first of all:

1) What is the RM 1590 in the top of the table below iDiGi 88??

2) Let say I want the iDiGi 88 with EPP 24. How do I proceed??

3) What do you mean I need to charge my credit card for roughly 4.5k for the EPP??

4) What happen if my iPhone got stolen?? Do I still have to pay for the remaining of the contract?? What about any warranty??

So much questions.. so confusing.. sorry bro... hope you and everyone else can help clear this for me.. notworthy.gif

The iphone can check ur data usage and call usage under Setting > General > Usage, and u can reset it anytime or everytime ur bill comes..

Oh so they allow subline actually? For maxis i think they dont allow iValue Plans to have subline

anyway its true that the promoters are inconsistent.. they told my friend the upfront payment is only RM106 RM159...,
didnt mention that we need to pay the lump sum...

issit? i thought that:

upfront is RM2144 + 18*88*1.05 (remaining 18 months) = RM3807

EPP24 is RM159*24 = RM3816?

confused here

Does this mean.. according to the table above.. upfront payment is the iPhone + 6 month iDiGi Plan??
*
1. The amount at the top of the table is the iPhone's price. Every iDigi plan have different discount level for the iPhone. So the higher iDigi you take, the more discount you get.

Ok, to put things in a simpler manner, we separate the price of the iPhone and the total upfront payment for the iDigi 88 plan.

You opt for iDigi 88, Digi wants you to pay up RM88 for 24 months, all in one short.

So, RM88 X 24 months X 5% service tax = RM 2,217.6

Since you take iDigi88, you can have the iPhone at RM 1,590. This amount you also need to pay in full.

So RM 2,217.6 + RM 1,590 = RM 3,807.60 (make sure your credit card has enough limit to cover this amount)

Digi wants you to pay this amount, so they charge this amount to your credit card. However, you are paying this amount in installments right, so the credit card's bank converts this purchase into 0% interest 24 months installment.
Therefore RM 3,807.60 / 24 months = RM 158.65 rounded up to RM 159.
As you can see, you pay this monthly RM 159 to your credit card bank, not Digi. Digi already has the full amount taken from your credit card bank. So for the first 24 months, you need not pay anything to Digi.
If let's say your usage for that particular month exceeds your iDigi plan's limit, Digi will charge you for the extra usage and it will be reflected in your monthly bill statements. That you need to pay to Digi.
Beginning from 25th months and onwards, you already settled your credit card's installments. You pay your RM88 monthly to Digi as per normal. From this on, you are no longer tied to the contract, so you can change or cancel your iDigi88 plans if you like.

4. If your iPhone got stolen, you still need to finance the installments provided to you by your credit card bank, nothing to do with Digi here.

Dude, READ the fine print at the bottom of the Digi Iphone site or the flyer. It states "ALL options above are tied to a 24-months contract".

And all CS is spoke to via D'Chat, phone call and those standing there says ALL are tied to a 24 mths contract.... i think u got April Fool'ed???

Digi Priority, Biz Line and Company Biz subscribers are directed to collect their pre-order iPhones to Digi SOHO, reason? Digi SOHO is the best furnished and most impressive of all Digi centers, so these "special"clients are directed to SOHO to collect it in peace and quiet and not join the Q and crowd..... lolz...

Was also told that if u r asked to collect yr pre-order in Digi SOHO, u can still get the free Yellow casing...

AND, as of today, ALL public can walk into the oval to buy, only that u dont get the free yellow casing bonus.... and u still need to register at the entrance, wait they call u to check yr details, then wait for booths to collect yr payment, then wait to collect yr iPhone, then wait to activate yr iphone....

Today was smooth.... the numbers were already calling me when i am done at each point (not many ppl ma...)... but they expect a big(ger) tomorrow and Sun, so if u r going there, be forewarned.... brows.gif brows.gif

Juz to clarify.
For example

Apple Bill wants 32 3GS with EPP for 32mths iDigi 88.
*Pls notified that digi only max tied up is 24mths which is 2years*.

So once he flashes his credit card he is hooked to 24mths of tied up contract with digi and additional 12mths with his bank.

For 24mths he isn't gonna be paying any bills unless he xceed his usage
*x-reference with the chart for useage allowance*
*5% tax will be imposed on extra useage for that mth*

Untill after 24mths later bill starts coming in. And it's time he is gonna get bill shock for 1 year of nightmare.
Total he had to pay for the 25th mth is 117+88 which is 205/mth.

He can choose to ditch digi by terminating his acc without penalties but he still needs to pay 117/mth for the last 1 year.

Total expenditure slapped by digi on these waterfish are
1990(subsidized rate)+(24x88)x5%tax=4207*total already paid*
if these waterfish ditched digi after 2years.
How do u actually get RM117/mth calculation?
{1990+[(24x88)x5%tax]}/36=116.87777777777__(rounded off to 117)*many fatchoi*

Total expenditure slapped by digi on these waterfish if they still want to continue.
1990(subsidized rate)+[(24x88)x5%tax]+[12x(88x5%tax)]=5316.40.
*Numbers been played around here and notice the difference.

It's still cheaper compared to maxis.
Though...... it's a little bit too late.
Android market is eating up Apple.
Apple 4g is around the corner soon.
Therefore i leave the rest imagination to u guys ^.^

How do u actually get RM117/mth calculation?
[1990+(24x88)x5%tax]/36=116.87777777777__(rounded off to 117)*many fatchoi*

Total expenditure slapped by digi on these waterfish if they still want to continue.
1990(subsidized rate)+(24x88)x5%tax+12x(88x5%tax)=5316.40.

It's still cheaper compared to maxis.
Though...... it's a little bit too late.
Android market is eating up Apple.
Apple 4g is around the corner soon.
Therefore i leave the rest imagination to u guys ^.^

While true as per yr analogy, pls bear in mind that its APPLE who is controlling the price of the iPhones, not Digi.... thats y they "lepas" tangan after their 24 mths contract....

All digi can do to get clients is to make sure their plans are cheaper than Maxis, which is true....

And no, i dont work for Digi.... cool2.gif cool2.gif
