I would like to find out the complete semester date for 4th year chemical engineering student in semenyih campus...
Can anyone help?

Search the U: drive for academic calendar perhaps? It should be under FOE.... unless you're not a student.

Foundation starts in the middle of summer.

yeap, i am from chem eng 4th year. There are 2 semesters for each academic year. The first semester of Year 4 started on 28th September 2009 and ended on 23th Jan 2010. The second semester of Year 4 started on 25th Jan 2010. The exam period is from 10th May 2010 to 29th May 2010. There is no break in between the first semester and second semester.

After 29th May 2010, the summer holiday will begin and class will resume again 4 months later, which would be around mid or late September. However, this does not apply to Year 1 students who opted for January intake and they will continue their course in the summer. As for 4th year students, it's the start of working life after 29th May.

Regarding yr fren's statement on the new semester started in 22nd February, I am not too sure about it. Any bros here have any idea about it?

Though there are some similarities between them,i.e.waffle fabrication and energy generation i suppose.And as I know,2010 has opened all the engineering programmes for January intake.I asked the admission department personally.btw,you are a senior of mine now..

I asked my father, he said he had friends who did just that. If I can't do that, well, life goes on . I'm quite open-minded. I'm going to UNITEN for EE on a 2 years course and not 1 year, however.

I don't think there's any similarity between them at all, lol, but it's nice to diversify a bit. Yeah, 2010 opened all engineering programmes for January intake. In 2009, January intake is only for a select few courses.

What did you guys write for your internship letters btw? CV, Confirmation letter, and cover letter? Will send out my letters at the end of this week.

erm anyone know when the academic calendar for this year is going to be out?
i've applied for foundation in engineering april intake and need to book my flight to go there early, and i havent got any update on how much i need to pay or anything
am i being paranoid or what ahaha, im just nervous that its not confirmed yet, and anyone know when i will get a confirmation on accomodation..?

@blindbox:If that's the case,then hope you will get it.Maybe doing another 1 year ChemE Masters program?
I am not very sure about the internship stuff though but I think the school will prepare a student status letter.Of course,those additional documents we need to add on.

@elf-boy:I think you just have to wait.
Erm,frankly speaking,it's quite hard to get accommodation for april intake students IMO.
If you really can't get a placement,just put an ad here.

For accommodation, Pioneer is kinda busy or maybe slow.. in and out, there are a lot of applications going on and they have a lot of thing to settle..
