Hello guys, student here reporting in. UNIM is quite lenient on which exams you take. As long as you get above B in your CGPA, they allow you in.

I got in with a foundation certificate from UIAM. Currently a second year in Chemical Engineering (I don't really like this course, what can I do? It was the only choice I had because I was one of the first few to try out the January Intake programme. So I'm graduating after BEng and take up MSc in E&E Engineering).

Hmm what can I say... THEY MADE THE EXAM A LOT MORE DIFFICULT FOR MY BATCH .

Food? UIAM is cheaper and more choice IMO. Drinks also more choice in UIAM.
Freedom? Definitely more than UIAM, though freedom doesn't really matter to me (I'm a muslim . I don't go out to get a drink or something. Only for personal requirements or programmes).
Education? A lot of self-work. You'll not survive being lazy( and I am lazy ).
Posting this in the uni's computer room so I'm gonna get tracked I guess. Oh well.
Also, 3 years for a degree(instead of 4 years)? I love it . I don't really need Ir, I don't plan to stay long in the chemical industry anyway.

Before I forget, price? Of course la more expensive, lol. I'm surviving on the discount the uni give me. If my grades get lower, I'm out. Quite a good motivation, I must say


Internet is kinda slow too.
Bradford whatever security they put on your laptop, doesn't work with linux. Any bypass for this?

Search the U: drive for academic calendar perhaps? It should be under FOE.... unless you're not a student.

Foundation starts in the middle of summer.

I asked my father, he said he had friends who did just that. If I can't do that, well, life goes on . I'm quite open-minded. I'm going to UNITEN for EE on a 2 years course and not 1 year, however.

I don't think there's any similarity between them at all, lol, but it's nice to diversify a bit. Yeah, 2010 opened all engineering programmes for January intake. In 2009, January intake is only for a select few courses.

I'm a senior of yours but I've only been here for 1 year and 1 month .

What did you guys write for your internship letters btw? CV, Confirmation letter, and cover letter? Will send out my letters at the end of this week.
