What do you actually mean by "complete semester date"?

yeap, i am from chem eng 4th year. There are 2 semesters for each academic year. The first semester of Year 4 started on 28th September 2009 and ended on 23th Jan 2010. The second semester of Year 4 started on 25th Jan 2010. The exam period is from 10th May 2010 to 29th May 2010. There is no break in between the first semester and second semester.

After 29th May 2010, the summer holiday will begin and class will resume again 4 months later, which would be around mid or late September. However, this does not apply to Year 1 students who opted for January intake and they will continue their course in the summer. As for 4th year students, it's the start of working life after 29th May.

Regarding yr fren's statement on the new semester started in 22nd February, I am not too sure about it. Any bros here have any idea about it?

Agree with most of the issues mentioned by tan here on Pioneer. I experienced sth even worse several years ago. all I did was... I made a written complaint regarding their service, and then i was invited to have a face-to-face talk with the management together with my "unit-mates", and the next thing i knew i was accused of bringing my frens to "intimidate" the management. well, not gonna elaborate more on how was this issue solved, but in the end the issue was laid to rest.

On the price of accommodation. Not to say I disagree with the statement that on campus accommodation is expensive. However, I would like to point out that if u stay off campus with a RM 350 room, it could be more expensive if u pay for 12 months rental, as you only pay 8.5 months of rental for an on campus room. But of coz u would get a nice air-conditioned room for that price in off campus. So, try to find an off campus room with 8.5 months contract.
