i did follow up,
but they say proton dint send da car yet
n yesterday i go to their show room n i talk to the manager,
he oso cant tell me when i can get my car,
last he say he will exchange 1 of their car to another branch to get my car

of course, if not why I bother to waste my energy to type....up to you to believe or not.

well sometimes proton a bit slow when delivering the car. I had mine waited for almost 3 months

Please... stop behaving like a kid whom like to show off to his friends when his toys are more canggih than the rest. Here is where we discuss and share info which can bring good or bad to our car so that in the end, we will be happy with our car. We also helps each other in trouble by sharing our piece of experience with the car, not by kicking dirt to each other face. I'm sorry, if you can't understand the simple mutual stuff, you don't belong here.


Getting back to the new facelift, there are a few things that i'm skeptical with:
1) bumper


Yes, using the same bumper as gen2 cps. Seems like saving cost while charging the consumer more

2) front grill


I'm wondering why they didnt make it fully-chrome like a camry for example? At least it would make it somehow luxurious.

3) door handle

usually other car makers when facelifting their cars, the car will comes with a shiny chrome handles, but only proton that comes with a flat-grey handle. I can't comprehend.

4) side mirror

This will be my own preference, but i like the the old mirror, more sporty. If only they maintain the design while adding the signal lamp, i'll be placing my order on the new side mirrors

5) HU player

looks a little bit shoddy, some sort like a rush job. Maybe it is just me?


Anyway, i'll be looking forward to see the facelift performs especially the well-known noises problem that being haunting the current persona

Item 1: Yea i prefer Gen2 Cps front bumper. I think in near future i might wanna change mine to Gen2 Cps version.
Item 2: FUGLY front grille.
Item 3: I prefer body matching color rather than any other colorings.
Item 4: Yes i have to agree with u on this.
Item 5: It's nice to have a single din player rather than a build in unit like what we have now. That USB port is a nice touch as well. On the negative side, yes i have to agree with u also. They should improve on its finishing somewhat and redesign the surrounding casing a little bit. It looks too cheapo.

i not sure how true is that engine design for 4liter..

but last tue, i purposely drive to 2 SC and ask. 1 is regular workshop.
they say is that way one.. must pour whole bottle in one.


but i dunno why your receipt state there 3liter..

anyway.. will u feel pedal much heavy than before or not?

congratulation boss.. same case with me... send this picture to the headquarter.. ask them to compensate u. last time i get free service when my car is 30000km. all cost were born by the sc

sometimes if dealing with a A**hole snail speed stupid salesman.... this is what u get. actually the first time i went to the Proton outlet located at Sunny Hill, Kuching. Told the dude that i am interested etc etc... and to get back to me on the procedures etc etc. 2-3 days passed without any phone call.

i wanted the thing done asap. i went to another outlet at LeaseWell Leasing (Proton outlet) sekama, kuching. talked to the salesman and all done within 3-4 days (from loan application to getting my car with the plate number that i wanted).

and guess what? 1 week later... the stupid salesman earlier at Proton outlet Sunny Hill area, kuching.... called me up asking me about the car and he wanted to process etc etc...... i told him straight.... "what the hell??? you are way too slow dude. sorry.... i am already driving one for few days now..." and he was shocked at my replies and said sorry to me. i just hung up immediately. to me he is too slow and irresponsible. too bad he just lost a customer.

WTF?! Proton should really train their mechanics well..... There is no such thing that "Campro" engines uses a full 4 litres of engine oil! I can sit all day to fight with them i dun mind...cuz its a fact and its shown and proven. 4L of engine oil is really far far overfilled already and there is nothing special about "Campro" as it is JUST AN ORDINARY NA OLD TECHNOLOGY DOHC ENGINE. What is soo special about it. WTH. Please dont talk about IAFM or CPS ok... these technology existed AGES AGO and its being used in many cars found on our roads today and its nothing new at all.

I have been facing STUPID MECHANICS ever since i got my license over 14 years ago. They dunno the fact about engine oil level requirements.

Why didnt u make noise and screw them for putting such remarks in there? I tell you what... PLEASE EMAIL a complain via proton malaysia's website. it works cuz i once complained and they really called me up and asked about my problems etc etc. Email the bill also and ask for explaination. Seems like the SC u went to is trying to be a smartass.

And actually... SC also rip ppls money in one thing that i saw in ur bill. The gasket oil drain. It is basically a nut or the washer depending on what car makes u drive. And there is NO NEED to replace it everytime u change ur engine oil.

who write that for u? the short lady?hehehe..i've been there before..wednesday if not mistaken..they pour 4L..i feel the engine was light n not effect much my driving..so its ok for me..

dude.... 4L is overfilled. it does no good to your engine other than damaging it in the long term. Its really bad for the rubber oil seals, bad FC and bad for the general internal engine components.

Persona's engine need ONLY 3.7 litres of engine oil (anyone can correct me if im wrong on the exact amount of litres required).

hmmm.. when i did my 1st service in EON ipoh, they gave me back the new engine oil bottle with some left engine oil in it in my car without any request of it.

yes. only some mechs are "knowledgeable" enough.

are you sure they pour 4l? maybe just 3.7 and they keep the rest? hehe

haha..seems like he pour the whole bottle..but who knows right? hehehe

can you post the meter at night please? i wanna know how it looks like during at night

i had the same case also, the SC poured the whole bottle of 4L during my 1st service.
is there anyway, i can drain those extra oil out?

wuuu... that's quite weird. As for me, i always told the mech something like "bro, don't pour everything ya, i want to keep some". If they ask why, i said "i want to use to lubricate my little brother bicycle chain" (which i always do that before when i was still a kid with my dad's leftover)
