The info they give is not detailed. Eg, in my case, my area is in Subang Jaya but my housing area will get it in Q3.

The good thing about FTTH compared to ADSL is also its ping.

Streamyx is still getting about 30+ ping.

i dont know if its a good thing, while you get better ping from local server on hsbb, you actually get MUCH higher ping from overseas compared to streamyx.

Latency is very high even for local servers, you should report or else they won't know.

It's still in beta stages. Cacat here, there and everywhere is to be expected. Once they actually offer the package to end user, that's when we can start complaining about stuff. It'll get better no doubt. Just wonder if it'll be streamyx case again over time when users grow, the jalan still the same size.

Agreed, still beta so lots bugs here there.

Seems streamyx 4Mbps starting to show some performance deterioration, sometimes even worst than 1Mbps. First its vroom vroom now its QQ, hope HSBB gonna be better.

malaysia politics style.

OT: the speed doesnt depends on just speedtest but the real experience, like downloading file and loading webpages.

ping is suppose to be low for local...close to none
that's why ppl say if u use fiber optic to play online games.....there's no ping problem anymore
if fiber optic ping is higher than copper wire...thn there's no point using fiber already
while to overseas is all up to their underwater cable....same as screamyx...up to TM

TM call centre assistant said they are having some problems.
If the speed is still low till Monday or Tuesday, she advised me to give them a call again.

How come ping to Singapore higher than NY?

Seriously, the ping and download bandwidth doesn't look promising in the beta stage

International routing problem. They have several routing, to USA, to India, to Australia. The best is to USA. Most of the Streamyx users, perhaps some HSBB testers now using India routing. icon_rolleyes.gif
