before HSBB,
ping to DNS streamyx was like 12ms -14ms with frequent timed out..
and google takes >200ms

now, no timed out..
and ping is fast as pinging to own home router. tongue.gif

..different story when comes to ping outside Malaysia. sweat.gif

Wow, 300ms+ is really really really bad for pinging a neighbouring country !
Imagine playing games with friends in oversea with that ping. rclxub.gif

Local, bandwidth hungry sites like digi's website is much faster with HSBB. Browsing is just like browsing Lowyat forum.

W00t, the other day tm guys came to my street's fiber hub to troubleshoot something...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

ORL( optical reflection loss ) reading... it seems they have been having this problem the whole day fixing it, signal should be at least 50dB and above to ensure the minimum requirements are met.

The whole setup of that hub

Closer zoom to the hub, there are 8 optical ports... and they told me that if all home users were to subscribe, the maximum speed they could sustain is 15Mbps for each home user... lol
