W00t, the other day tm guys came to my street's fiber hub to troubleshoot something...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

ORL( optical reflection loss ) reading... it seems they have been having this problem the whole day fixing it, signal should be at least 50dB and above to ensure the minimum requirements are met.

The whole setup of that hub

Closer zoom to the hub, there are 8 optical ports... and they told me that if all home users were to subscribe, the maximum speed they could sustain is 15Mbps for each home user... lol

have you try use admin on username and leave password blank?

if not, refer back to the manual.

Saw the manual.. they gave a big box of stuff lol.

Username: admin
Password : telekom

TIPS: For smartphone users, please set your security method as WPA ONLY or WPA2 ONLY, do not put WPA/WPA2 or it will not detect.

Speedtests will come soon.

Wonder what kind of IP does TM HSBB provides? Public or Private IP address?

Also, which unit actually does the login process? ONU or the external router (in other words, is the d-link router used for NAT or just acts as a wireless bridge)? Does the system use PPPoE or other login methods?

Thank you.

Here is the singapore speed, notice the ping.

International ping is still too high. Browsing experience is almost the same with streamyx with this kind of ping.
