that is what the customer support lady said. 20mbps minimum. Also she said 20mbps is consistent speed. No lower than that. Sounds too good to be true. Unless she is wrong ....

QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Feb 27 2010, 02:30 PM) About the HSBB, I ask the customer support at TM point regarding HSBB. Regarding the IPTV, she said that at first, they will be 9 channels including RTM1, RTM2 and donno what else. She said the minimum speed for HSBB is 20mbps. Now, I just wait for them to call for pricing. Hope it will be cheap. Hope to be below RM160 QUOTE(azwan92 @ Feb 27 2010, 02:35 PM) indeed will be lower than RM160 If I am not mistaken the minimum of 20mbps is inclusive of IPTV bandwidth In initial framework HSI offering starts at 5mbps but that could change or not, we'll see when HSBB package is announced to the public |

QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Feb 27 2010, 02:30 PM) went to tm point today. Asking there if i can be the test and buy user or whatever they called. Unfortunately, the test an buy is over. There are installing for the try and buy user starting today in Shah Alam. 4Mbps = RM160.00.....20Mbps below RM160..wow Since I cannot test their HSBB, so I sign up for their HSBB. If my area is supported, then tehy will call me if still interested to join or not. I just give my name, later after, if the price is right, I will subscribe to them. About the HSBB, I ask the customer support at TM point regarding HSBB. Regarding the IPTV, she said that at first, they will be 9 channels including RTM1, RTM2 and donno what else. QUOTE(powerfulcool @ Feb 27 2010, 01:27 PM) im not too sure but maybe TM also considers the socio-economic status of areas they are implementing HSBB Their reason is they provide privilege for areas that contribute the most to the nation's GDP.take Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bangsar, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam for example; these are wealthy and established towns, probably why they started here first. Regarding HSBB pricing, we can't really compare ADSL and FTTH really. I mean, nobody in their right mind would get Dial-Up as it's too expensive and it's freaking 56K. Well, it's still in service today. This post has been edited by xcen: Feb 27 2010, 06:33 PM |

^ I guess the pricing is under NDA now. But it's somewhere around there.
The IPTV bandwidth is not included with the bandwidth you've subscribed. You get dedicated line for the IPTV. Instead you'll most likely be charged for the programs you watch. (think VOD) It's better than Astro in the way that you won't get bad signal when it's raining. This post has been edited by Demonic Wrath: Feb 27 2010, 07:55 PM |
