we can live without it even it'll reach Kuching in 2014 or 2020. In fact, I'm happy with my 1mbps.
What we want to see is overall performance (stability + speed offers + price). And I'm waiting for at least a few negative comments HSBB users

have you try use admin on username and leave password blank?

i highly doubt it. see streamyx now. before this, less people subscribe, speed maintain. but when lots of people using it, the quality drops

Planned International Internet Bandwidth for HSBB

Lim Kit Siang [Ipoh Timur] minta Menteri Penerangan, Komunikasi dan Kebudayaan menyatakan beberapakah jalur lebar Internet antarabangsa yang akan ditambah mengikut perancangan oleh TM untuk menampung HSBB dan penggunaan Internet Streamyx bagi setiap suku tahun (quarterly) mulai 2009 sehingga 2014.

Jawapan:

Untuk makluman, perancangan penambahan kapasiti jalur lebar pihak TM dibuat secara tahunan dan bukan mengikut suku tahun. Sehingga 2 Jun 2009, jumlah kapasiti jalur lebar Internet antarabangsa adalah sebanyak 112.0Gbps. Bagi tahun 2009, kapasiti jalur lebar Internet antarabangsa yang dirancang adalah sebanyak 149.4 Gbps dan dijangka meningkat kepada 715.0 Gbps pada tahun 2013.

Jumlah anggaran perancangan kapasiti jalur lebar Internet yang akan ditambah untuk menampung keperluan perkhidmatan TM mengikut tahun adalah seperti berikut :

example 1 million streamyx users migrate to hsbb. TM provides dedicated bandwidth for each user (pure 10Mbps per user)

1,000,000 users x 10Mbps = 10,000,000 Mbps = 9765.625 Gbps

TM should have that amount of bandwidth for international link. since TM got only 300-400Gbps, well I guess I expect really slow connection (similar to 1Mbps) to international site

still, tm cut a few bandwidth amount from each user so they can get a new subscriber.

i can see where's that going..

we hope they provide pure 720p content, not a content that being upscaled to 720p, like standard definition show in 4:3 ratio upscaled to 16:9. we don't want that/

or maybe 5Mbps for users who download more/less streaming or more streaming/less download

if it's located behind/near in front of your house, probably yes

if they offer 5mbps at the price of current 1Mbps or 512k, i sure take it. i just want internet so i can download more files

yes. japan had tested it.

what sabahan/sarawakian, including me can do is just watching those hsbb users enjoying their high-speed internet

why they still use geological excuse? japan can implement fiber optic on entire region, why not mareshia?

they'll target on big city such as kuching/kota kinabalu. my place is opposite Universiti Malaysia Sarawak which the uni itself already equipped with Metro-E 1Gbps

i'm willing to stick with streamyx if hsbb package with caps
