Uh, is HSBB sharing the same bandwith with Streamyx ?
Just say like TM have 100Gbps for Streamyx.
When HSBB lauches, they use 100Gbps that is reserved for Streamyx for that service.

I hope they better not.

Well TM got many mirror server, thats why if one down they route another place. Streamyx and HSBB are same service, except HSBB carry more services than Streamyx can do. If earthquake happen international, HSBB and Streamyx user will no exceptions from interruptions.

Yes, whatever your intentions but if you were using cable which carry many types of service, if effected will cause all type of services disconnections no matter how good you manage them, just remembering the disaster of DdoS attacks or an virus attacks.

saw some people fixing wires around my area, Cheras, since last month, that was on the town main road (Cheras Perdana) just 3 days ago i saw 2 men digging and doing something at my housing area, it was weird, since usually if TM people doing maintainence, they would just open up that giant cylinder shaped thingy, but this time they dug and had a construction sign about jalur lebar pantas internet this and that. Asked the, it was noisy, i said is it HSBB? they said yaaaa

# 33. Why are you not rolling out the service in other areas outside of the Klang Valley?

    * TM's initial focus for HSBB deployment will be on those areas identified to contribute significantly to national GDP.

go ahead and just FILL THE APPLICATION FORM

you dont have to sell anything you dont want. no one is forcing you to.

i dont see how the lack of use causes the lack of function.

The router is a must for the beta testers since the settings/configuration for it is still not known yet. If you can get your hands on it then you should be able to connect with any other routers. smile.gif

If I'm not mistaken, we can still use back our own router if:

1) You have an existing Wireless Router
2) Wireless router enabled (but not DSL modem router enabled)
3) Dialing streamyx from Wireless Router

from the router level, instead of choosing PPPoE, we should select "Ethernet DHCP" (Corp should select Ethernet Static)

---------------------

Hmm... I forgot about the IPTV... Any beta tester able to confirm set top box are connecting directly to the FTTP ONU or Dlink wireless router? xts mentioned before IPTV and Internet are using different VLAN.

hey you didnt have to use profanities, it shows that you have no substance

read the 2 posts above you, the router is compulsory only for beta testers, no one knows if it will be included in the commercial package. plus, normal routers can be used with HSBB why do most of us have to sell our routers? right back at you smarty

and your post bellow is filled with shitty bad grammar smile.gif please head to British Council to brush it up

Can we connect a ethernet cable from the fiber modem to a wireless G router just like most of us are doing ?
20Mbps for a G is okay right ? Because G is capable of speeds of up to 54Mbps.

Wireless G - "stated speed" 54mbps
actual speed around 15mbps (with security enabled)

based on experience..
