since the router is a must, guess most of us will hv to sell our existing router when it's available and may be coz most router brand sale decrease...
not necessarily, u could always use it as an access point and extend ur wireless coverage

The router is a must for the beta testers since the settings/configuration for it is still not known yet. If you can get your hands on it then you should be able to connect with any other routers.

that could work, provided that ur router has VLAN and TR-069... TM uses that to ensure the CPE is up to date with the ACS... also remote troubleshooting uses that..

If I'm not mistaken, we can still use back our own router if:
1) You have an existing Wireless Router
2) Wireless router enabled (but not DSL modem router enabled)
3) Dialing streamyx from Wireless Router
from the router level, instead of choosing PPPoE, we should select "Ethernet DHCP" (Corp should select Ethernet Static)

Hmm... I forgot about the IPTV... Any beta tester able to confirm set top box are connecting directly to the FTTP ONU or Dlink wireless router? xts mentioned before IPTV and Internet are using different VLAN.
from the router level still using PPPoE.. a bit like streamyx, username@hsbb and password... my last chat with hsbb technician says set top box will be connected to router..

Then it is not DIR-615 model as mention by manufacturer website, its another model that exact to DIR-615.
router custom made for tm with custom firmware.. usb port maybe for dlink's SharePort feature... hsbb tech told me.. so if he tipu me, then i tipu u.. hahaha
