yup.. the wireless router provided by TM is wireless N spec... not sure if its 150 or 300mbps tho

But the problem is most of us doesn't have wireless N card yet.
My laptop doesn't have wireless N reciever yet.
Need to buy external ones... Which will cost some $.

yup.. thats the prob.. but for me... my prob is whether to use or not to use my current linksys wrt310N...

D-Link DIR-615 WiFi is not draft, its 802.11n finalize with up to 300Mb/sec, but the problem LAN and WAN only support 10/100Mb/sec

i see i see.. good news loh.. but bottleneck exists in LAN to wireless or the other way round....

btw from the pictures posted by other forumers, the DIR-615 is not the one shown in D-Link website right?
because (despite the colour) the size appears to be smaller than the actual 615, and there's a USB port in front of it...

There is no USB port for DIR-615, you can refer the spec from http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=565

I hope someday TM build own LAN, WiFi, WAN and fiber optic port all in one modem...

yup.. thats the reason why i said its not the actual dir-615 from the website.. i remember few pages back one forumer posted a pic of the
wireless modem (orange colour) given by TM.. the model number is DIR-615 and there's a USB port in front of the router...

Then it is not DIR-615 model as mention by manufacturer website, its another model that exact to DIR-615.

oh- in wireless G- max u get also 15mbps if direct transfer file also la u mean? even ethernet w 100mbps, i check if download from 1on1 comp, could only reach 77mbps....
i mean in account of 1 to another comp transfering big file across..

not necessarily, u could always use it as an access point and extend ur wireless coverage

that could work, provided that ur router has VLAN and TR-069... TM uses that to ensure the CPE is up to date with the ACS... also remote troubleshooting uses that..


from the router level still using PPPoE.. a bit like streamyx, username@hsbb and password... my last chat with hsbb technician says set top box will be connected to router..


router custom made for tm with custom firmware.. usb port maybe for dlink's SharePort feature... hsbb tech told me.. so if he tipu me, then i tipu u.. hahaha

If it needs wireless N, then I can use my Belkin but who cares? As long as the service is good.

Yesterday my place at bangi near seksyen 1, beside main road also saw contractor hold a fiber optic.

And i'v got annoucement today in my letter say tm will upgrade streamyx copper wire to fiber optic in this month, and march,

i think normal streamyx plan but more accurate n stable service becose using fiber, i dont know if kajang also same upgrade with this, they dont say.
