wait a minute ... is the photo shopped?  shocking.gif i see ghosting in the front of the car... i sense motion blur filter

(forgive me if i'm wrong)

lol, u're absolutely right =D. U see, this is my first time trying to pan and that car is goin' real fast. So, i juz have the enough time to pull the cam out and start to shoot. But since i've no time to switch to S mode, i ended up using A. So, i thought a quicker pan motion can compensate for the fast shutter. Actually, it did work but the background was kinda like those cheap bokeh blur sweat.gif and also, the quick motion has cost its tail to be cut off sad.gif

fisheye adapter, cant be used on wide (below 35mm) angles... it will cause bad vignetting or u might capture the whole adapter inside (its call what? barrel something? like crop lens force to shoot in FF)

if u wan to buy those cheap adapter (under rm500), might as well go internet download fisheye plugin for photoshop? 1 click, done... =.= same effect, no diff in image quality... maybe even better then fisheye adapter.

the diff is, the plug in might not able to produce 'wide-ness' angles of 8mm FE lens

ha ha ha so nextime bring duck tape to attach the flash?
urm..
i think they build it with plactic to make sure the hotshoe is the only thing that gets broken..
imagine when the hotshoe is made from metal and when the flash falls then instead of JUST the hotshoe.. the whole flash get broken in two (or more)?

the same goes with the hotshoe connection port in the body..
imagine when a camera (attached with a flash) falls to the ground..
and because the 'attachment' is so strong then instead of the flash gets ripped o the body..
the flash suffer (broken into two/three parts) and the body also suffers..

so i think the hotshoe is sacrificed fairly..
he he this is just my opinion tho..
im using 2 bodies and both had fall from my grip and now i know why the plastic hotshoe is there in the first place..
i didnt work for the designing team but i think this might cross their mind upon designing the hotshoe...

I just hope their design intention is that the hotshoes part is a separate exchangeable piece. Looking at the bottom of d flash it does look like it can b change . If it can b change then is clever .. if not ill may b exhange a large portion of the flash. N cost me a bomb. Hope they can change it for a small price. I haven't check if my flash stand that attached with it is it broken too ..since both side also made from plastic ... pray ... luckily is not my f58 that is attached to the light box . Should have ask an assistant to take care of all the lighting setup ...wat a mess

Lugiamcg : Cool.

Clivengu : Sad to hear that, I believe that small piece of plastic can still be replaced with a small fee.

albnok : Your original 135ZA had problems? You sent in to Sony for service and it's still within warranty period, Sony wasn't able to fix it (or maybe it cost them a long time to fix it) and thus they replace it with a brand new 135ZA? Which explains that you have an extra box and lens hood at hand since you just send in just the caps & lens to the service center. Just a wild guess...

Many of you have like guessed 20% of the full story. When you combine it you might get the full story.

And where does this 135mm spoil and Sony giving free lens thing come from? SonyAlphaRumors? biggrin.gif

lwliam: No. Can't afford to lend my workhorse lenses! tongue.gif

lugiamcg: Yes, it has one of the shortest MFDs for a telephoto lens that is not a macro lens. And congratulations on upgrading the car?

kevinwcw: The Sony 50mm F1.4 has a weaker maximum magnification. The Zeiss 135mm F1.8 does 1:4x.

braindead_fr3ak: Threatening to rob can also be illegal as robbing itself.

neo_lam: Go for the Zeiss 85mm, it is lovely!

signither: Streamyx fail last 2 days. sad.gif

V12Kompressor: Thanks dude!

cjlai: Nicely framed! I also like the irony of "Istana Kehakiman" and bars on the left and right.

freddy manson: The 0.45x wide-angle converter I've had, does not really do 0.45x; it does the square root of it. They use 0.45x to make the number sound more impressive. Try using different focal lengths and you'll discover it really is a 0.67x converter. Of course the benefit is that you can remove the narrower angle of view caused by APS-C cameras.

And yes, it is designed to break at the hotshoe (as I've discovered myself!)

clivengu: I've posted about this sometime back. Yes it can be fixed, rather quickly too, since the F42 foot is a common part (notice it looks the same as the F58's foot!)

neo_lam: 20th March 2010 - will announce further details soon.
