Yes. Max you can go is 25Mbps

Added on March 5, 2010, 1:17 pm
What I meant is the actual rate you can achieve, not ideal case. Like USB2.0 transfer rate stated is 480Mbps but it will never achieve. As you know, normal USB2.0 rate is about 25Mbps it can reach.

Added on March 5, 2010, 1:18 pm
25Mbps as stated above. POHD network is 10/100.

Why 100mbps LAN can give >25mbps bit rate while Wireless N300 only give less than 13mbps???

From my experience, streaming 1080p and some 720p contents with 25mbps frame rates over 100Mbps LAN encountered jerkyness even with HDD installed on my POHD. Switching over to UPnP, playback was smooth like baby's backside even without the HDD installed.

Just my 2 sen contribution

Bro are you using QNAP NAS for the UPnP server?

I'm using a Buffalo 4-bay Link Station. A QNAP is of course, better thumbup.gif

Same here, I can only get it to see those sample videos (after enabling media streaming).

Try changing the properties of your folder to make it a "Pictures and Videos". Right click on the folder and select properties. There should be an option in one of the tabs for selecting the type of folder in there somewhere.

Tried, still the same.
I've managed to get it to work, but with a big compromise on quality.
I moved one of my .mkvs to the sample video folder and renamed the extension to .wmv
The PQ was like crap, and when I pressed the info button it says "720x480 mpeg2". The file is actually 1280x720. (on my pc)
I guess Win7 somehow downconverts the video?

I'm using Win7 Ultimate x64, connected to a wireless G router. PlayON connects using ethernet.
Oh and I cannot see my pc using 'Network' option, only 'UPnP'.
