Sorry probably this reminder was already posted in the first thread, don't rush to update latest official firmware 2901 cause it will remove youtube permanently rather try this hack firmware europe edition with added youtube and search function for youtube.

We have a new beta firmware based on some new codes from Realtek and merged it to our current platform. I have to say, there may still be some bugs in this beta release but we will get right back to it after we are back from our Chinese New Year celebrations after the 22nd of February.

For Asian guys and ladies around, I would like to wish all of you 恭喜发财，万事如意，新年快乐，年年有余！

There are some added features and functions to this new beta release.

1. Youku and Weather added to Asian firmware, and Weather added to European firmware.
2. Some new additions to Setup – Video menu
3. Auto detect the text encoding for text based subtitles.
4. Screen saver timing from 1min, 2mins and 5mins. Subtitles default setting to On or Off.
5. Simple menu for controlling Audio, Subtitle, Title and Chapter when playing a video. This feature may not be fully completed yet as the layout with multiple selections for Audio, Subtitles and such are not properly displayed at the moment. But you get the idea what will be in store soon…

>This release does not include YAMJ, this is purely a beta, once it works merging will commence.

Hi, guys. I'm using POHD Mini, firmware v7.0.21_r2956.
I have several movies in which the voice volume is too soft (while background/effect is very loud).

this is the info of the audio stream

Please kindly advice how i can increase the volume of the voice OR possible
to play the 6ch as 2ch (stereo).
Is there such setting in the POHD setup? (I have checked, and doesn't seem so)

Hello sifus, what is the fastest way to transfer files from PC to PoHD?
currently my way of doing it is:
PC >>> external hard disk >>> internal hard disk inside PoHD

for large chunks of file or rearranging files, normally i open the internal HDD in POHD and plug it in to my removable 3.5HDD bay in desktop PC. so i can get gigabit transfer speed (over 100mbps). using USB doesnt help either coz it slow max like 20mbps.

for single file then i use wireless but expect to be done within 1 hour plus time with 2.5mbps max speed.

PlayonHD connected to PC via USB

From PC, copy movies from the USB External Hdd -> PlayonHD USB... 500GB takes about 6 to 7 hours

I am audio freak.

1. can I know if the spdif digital coaxial output good ? by good means able to achieve AUDIOPHILE quality.

2. can it play monkey audio / APE or I have to transcode all the file to WAV format (that is a PITA)
