I've read the first page, but ran out of luck finding it around my area rolleyes.gif  rolleyes.gif  rolleyes.gif
Also, the port for my monitor is DVI-D not the standard DVI ones(it'll be better if I used the DVI slot since the VGA slot is used by my computer), I've gotten a DVI-HDMI adapter and returned it since it doesn't fit.
So...help? blush.gif  blush.gif  blush.gif

each lcd monitors are built with standard spec and that includes the DVI-D (D stands for digital), its the standard/common DVI ports. Unless u want to compare variants of DVIs. (it make my head spin nonetheless)

Carrefour been selling the wrong DVI-HDMI adapter (DVI part suppose to be male, not female doh.gif ). Just get dvi-hdmi cable instead, works for me. (again thx ffrulz for info at lcd thread, so cakekin plz read it 1st at the mentioned thread)

one more thing, please set ur resolution to 720p.

You should go to Sony Singapore website for warranty registration.

Guys need help here, something is wrong.
I've gotten a DVI-HDMI cable for my PS3-Monitor, however it shows "Input Not Supported".
Yes, I set the resolution of PS3 display to 720p already, however it still shows the same thing.
So now the question is : Is my monitor unable to support 720p resolution of PS3? Or something is wrong with my setup?
Thanks.... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
Really running out of ideas how to get it to work, need professional help here doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

I guess Ur monitor doesnt support HDCP, so it's not working... To plug in the PS3 to Monitor, the Monitor should support HDCP..

How does it affect the result?
I'm sure they're both genuine ones.

wait a minute, not a warranty registration? then what? "unwarrantied registration"? that's an oxymoron statement

Strictly speaking, that's not an oxymoron since you can register a product without getting any warranty benefits, which seems to be the case here.

----

Anyway, my own question:

I've noticed that my Blu-ray movies have very low volume, especially when compared to the volume levels I get from games. Is there a way to fix this?

Seems like you've misunderstood me (my bad). In volume, I meant audio volume.

How do u setup ur ps3 and speaker system? sometimes i found lcd tv speaker kinda weak, high recommended that ps3 connect to a amplifier/speaker system.

Also during bluray movie playback, press triangle button to open hidden menu or Control Panel.

u can adjust volume there (-+ 4)

So should i just upgrade it and will it automatically convert the free space from the linux to ps3 os or I need to reformat the hdd to regain the lost space in hdd when installing linux? icon_question.gif
