oh crap...i plugged USB in and waiting for autoinstall.
*
you can do this. i have done this before too.

you will need the following:
1. A null ethernet cable to connect your ps3 to your pc. your pc MUST have an ethernet LAN port.
2. A PC which u will cucuk your usb broadband. your pc will act like a gateway.

if u need more details pm me.

But before u do this let me warn u, Ping is bad. So don't expect to play high demanding online games where the game needs fast response. FPS games line MW2 u can forget it.

ok then don't pm me, lets discuss here. don't get me wrong, i am not asking money from you. i thought just maybe not everybody want to listen to our discussion.

I started of with these link:
http://www.home-network-help.com/ics-host.html
http://www.pchelpforum.com/network-help/80...ptop-ps3-2.html

But i remember even following the instructions, i didn't manage to suceed. so there was still trial and error until i got it.

hi..ps3 owner...i hav a q...can ps3 play fps game(bad company for example) with keyboard and mouse?
*
ps3 can play fps game - bad company for example. mouse can, not keyboard. but mouse u need FragFx, not just any mouse. edited: sorry, satanist is right: only 2 games support standard keyboard and mouse - UT3 and Resistance: FOM. but is only 2 of the berpuluh puluh fps

what a question. if u not use to ps3 controller, just get use to it. i hated the ps3 controller, and still hate it too. but nearly everybody plays with it, so i stop complaining and and practice practice practice. its fun no matter what your controller is, that's d moral of the story.

the wii can capture every detail of the controllers orientation and motion in 3D space, but not where (i.e. x, y and z coordinates) the controller is in reference to d camera.

btw, project natal is xbox360. i think u mean Sony's ARC

finally getting screamyx installed in my house. It comes with a free wireless router. Is that good enough for online games? thinking of playing SFIV online.

I applied for a 4mb line and they coming to check my connection the next few days. I will be using direct connection from the router to my PS3 slim. Is their router good enough or do I need to buy another router. (I dont know what router that they will be giving me)

everything is fine. just sit back and relax. everything will be in place for u to go online once they install. nothing else u will need.

*
wait a minute, not a warranty registration? then what? "unwarrantied registration"? that's an oxymoron statement

Strictly speaking, that's not an oxymoron since you can register a product without getting any warranty benefits, which seems to be the case here.
----

Anyway, my own question:

I've noticed that my Blu-ray movies have very low volume, especially when compared to the volume levels I get from games. Is there a way to fix this?
*
do they give u any other benefits since its not warranty?
blu-ray in general people still prefer ahem versions. d quality is also very good. i dono, maybe over time. need to create demand first.

by design the disc surface has no contact. its all laser. so even if u leave the disc in, it remains no contact. no contact means no scratch. btw, i leave my disc in 90% of d time. no scratch oso. maybe his disc drive is faulty that's why got scratch. but i think he is lying. coz if that's d case u can't play.

FYI, the lens in the Blu-ray drive of the PS3 is a moving part.
It moves closer to the disc when heavy textures (or something else in relation like playing a cutscene while loading a level) are loaded off the disc.

That, can possibly scratch your disc if the lens moves out of alignment.
Although this issue is far, far less than it was ever was before on the PS2 days, it still happens.

Hence the reason why I said in the previous page or 2 to TAKE OUT your disc when you stop playing.
If you don't want... no problem, hope for the best but if anything goes wrong don't come crying when your disc fails to read the next time.
*
let's be logical. not ejecting your disc has not relation of lens being misaligned. its not like the disc will suddenly decide to kick the len out of alignment while its in your ps3. but one thing for sure, the more often u eject the disc the faster it wears. all mechanical components has wear and tear. but i agree lens misalignment can cause disc scratch, regardless whether u leave your disc in or not.

don't compare with pc graphics. pc graphics will graphic detail as high as the hardware can go, and u know pc hardware is more powerful now than it was nov 2006. mw2 if not mistaken run on 720p, not 1080p. i also notice the zigzg effect on ropes. no big deal.

clap your chest and ask your appetite la. is the 100++rm saving worth it for warranty from mal? to me worth every sen. my rule of thumb: any electrical products must come with warranty in country of residence, else no go.

i play ps3 with crt tv before i got my hdtv. i don't think the difference is so big in terms of gameplay. u can still play pretty well with crt tv. of course the graphics is better on hdtv, but not that is unplayable on crt tv. we been playing on crt tv for decades and we never had problems, then came hdtv now u can't play on crt tv? what logic is that?
