Makes me wonder if Bernie Stolar migrated to Malaysia and working for Astro. Why coming in all only events and channels that is of interests to kaki bola?

I have problem trying to program my fav channels with the new remote sad.gif .
I config fav by pressing Home>Settings>Your Settings>Edit Favourites.
Then set all my fav channels. Return to main menu>current viewing cahannel.
However pressing the fav button does not change to the next fav channel that I have programmed in earlier.
In fact, nothing happen mad.gif except the red light blink just below the power off button on the remote and the IR indicator on the Astro Set Box.
Would appreciate any advise on how to get fav working on remote.
TQ

Hmm, I noticed that the PQ for repeated matches are a bit lower than the live ones. Or is it just me?

but most CRT does not have component input. Only have S-video input...
last night, I go to my cousin house, they already installed byond.., and you know why they installed byond, he said to me that he only want new looking dish..., "elegant" and more "Xclusive" and does not know a lot what is HD... icon_question.gif and he using CRT TV that come only with CVBS input... sweat.gif

Yeah, can use that, but 1. Not cheap, and 2. Hard to get.

You didn't catch their trial during the olympics, didn't you?
I thought Arena will be RTM's? They do have an Arena channel on the digital transmission.
Forget about it, Astro is seriously lacking in lots of channels that Singapore already has and apparently isn't really arsed about bringing them in. They just confirmed with me that the 9 test channels is for FIFA world cup when I called them this evening to make the exact complain regarding the channels Singapore and Indonesia has and we don't have.

But Singapore will not be having World Cup!!!!

I'm not sure if new FW out yet...

Edit: Tried a forced update, got the error 1-92-1. Huh?

there is no need to try & force a download. Just put you decode in standby when you're not watching

It is about money and greedy! The Singapore broadcasters dun think they should pay so much for the broadcast! So they agree not to bid so much. FIFA is punishing them for bidding so low! doh.gif

larger than 200 would be a healthy signal strength

yes, insist on a single RG6 cable connection from LNB to decoder, no join using black tape doh.gif

One website I've seen in the US wants US$199 for one, and that's before shipping. Maybe now have cheaper one, don't know. Hard to find online, or maybe I'm just ditzy and used the wrong search terms on google.

Not interested in world cup tongue.gif (cannot watch anyway, no sports package). I'm a kaki bangku and ulat buku anyway. No interest in sports, more interest in kids and learning channels.

The thing is, I disconnect my decoder from power and LNB when I'm not watching, out of fear of lightning strike. Especially after I lost a router in one such event (and it wasn't even my fault, my sister was supposed to disconnect it when she was done using but she thought she could get away with it). But ok, I'll straight away plug the decoder in and leave it on standby and only disconnect when leaving the house or going to bed from next time onwards.

When I upgraded to b.yond, they installed a head on the LNB cable and the extension cable then join using a screw-in adapter of some kind. Cost me RM8 extra for the joins, but cable is free because I kept the old cable and the extension came from the new roll of cable they're supposed to install.

Before that the extension was like yours, ownself do (the provided roll is not long enough to pull into my room). Installer laughed when he saw how feeble the job was.

I am using LCD TV Samsung 32" (LA32B350F1) with native resolution of 1360x768.
What HD settings should I use: 1080i/720p/576i/576p?
I tried all the options and to me, there is no difference on HD PQ quality unsure.gif .
Anyone try that?

TQ
