Gouki: Some would rank the Tamron first, then the Sigma, then the Sony, but the Sigma 70-300mm DG APO Macro 1:2x is prone to gear stripping.

mike, pack it as though its your travel gear. Eg. In a camera bag, with full kit and all. I've been travelling so many times with my gear, no problem, i even bring my tripod into the cabin. But of coz if your's a big ass 3ft folded manfrotto, then u will need to check in la. Other than that, if they ask u, jz open the bag, show them you're jz travelling with a camera and they'll more than happy to smile to u and say 'ave a gday mate' and you'll be on your way

noob question: with my lineup now, is it a waste of money/smart to get an 1870 kit lens with UV and CPL for rm200?

cost cost cost and cost...
and forget it about 1680, see the figure or not? 200 and 2000.. Added on February 10, 2010, 12:33 pmmecha, i cant find a deal with the 1855. 200 bucks is very tempting, but it will only serve me for the front 18-28mm part, so i wonder will that justify me getting it.
