need to bring camera to work because sometimes need to snap photos on site.. my a700 is too heavy with VG (i have a hand grip so kinda lazy to take it off everytime i want to bring the body only), and quite 'sayang' to bring it to work everyday.. budget kinda tight too.. and it just hit me, instead of a P&S, why not a cheap backup body? laugh.gif

MechaHerc: Better to get the A550. The KM 5D and 7D have the First Black Frame problem - make sure if you buy it, that the FBF is fixed. The A100 is noisier than any other Alpha (but it's also got crispier CCD output.)
*
it is noisier.. tried random indoor shots yesterday.. pump up to ISO 400 can see noise dy.. wanna try some outdoor shots later in broad daylight.. hope it is okay.. rolleyes.gif

is F20AM sufficient for a backup flash?? i bring my A100 to work everyday, but as we all know, A100 ISO is quite bad.. so most of the time pumping up ISO is not the option.. the built-in flash also sometimes is not good enough.. so, if i want to get a flash for my A100, would F20 be okay, or shuld i invest more for F42.. don't say F58 because i already have one, and dont really like the idea to bring it to work everyday sweat.gif

if i were to choose to carry F42 and F58, i'd carry the 58. there's not much difference in bulk anyway, the f20 on the other hand is much more compact, what i think is that if u have the money to spend on an F20, then it could be a good 'pop up flash'

which can do bounce? brows.gif

signither: The F20AM isn't that powerful bouncing up. Try 1/4 power with your F58 which is almost like the F20 at full power and see if it's sufficient given the ISO.

so either go for F42 or just stick with F58 ya? rolleyes.gif
