The size increase and reduction in capacity is expected.

N1 user reporting in! Just got my N1 last week, very excited to have my first android hp. cant resist the evil of rooting, i rooted my phone yty and flash with alpha r21 desire rom. prefer the sense UI than the stock 1.
A noob question here: as i foresee i will keep flashing my n1 quite frequent, is it possible to do more than 1 nandroid and save in sd? how to backup/restore all my setting(email, apn etc)?
Thanks.

irenic, i got it from modaco android site, so far so good. the only annoying thing is i cant setup yahoo mail in my android until today. using the imap method also no luck. but this is not related to the custom rom, even stock rom also has this problem.
thanks

guys, i've bought my N1 thru my bro staying in US now. Should I ask him to open up the box and TEST the N1 first before bringing it back?
- I want to make sure everything is ok, since he's still there and can do warranty return. - But if he opens it, my "unboxing" ceremony not as shiok la.. haha..
What should I do? I read that some ppl got touchscreen problems out of the box, so I'm afraid of that..
thanks!

i let go mine last time because i got another nexus.. there's no major problem with nexus and if u r thinking bout other android, esp desire, believe me, it wont get any better.. but milestone or xperia x10 also a good phone, depends on ur preference.. i have all and still the other two now are used by my dad and mom.. for me, my choice is still the nexus one This post has been edited by irenic: Apr 6 2010, 12:27 PM

We have choices. Up to the you, whether you like N1 or not . I only have a MINOR problem with 3G reception. It will be superb if it can be improved. I said MINOR because, might be due to telco's problems, because sometime I got great 3G experiences without any hiccups, even when browing Intenet in komuter which was moving at 120 km/h (GPS reading ). BTW, IMO, N1 is still great phone, even it is still virgin. Imagine how great it can be if I rooted it, change kernel and dalvikvm engine. Anyway, my next phone, will be a hackable Android platform.

actually i also in dilemma whether to keep the nexus or change to desire but i read in xda forum that those desire users also faced almost the same problem that nexus one has, like 3G issues, pinkish amoled screen, battery life etc. and to think of these 2 devices, definitely nexus one will most probably have better update support since it is made by google itself .. and i am a person who cant wait for the latest and this is the reason i gave my x10 to my mom..
but.. i also always itchy to test out new phone especially when the phone got good reviews around the net or in the magazine.. and i believe desire will get in that place because of it's Sense UI that most reviewers out there are craving so much..
and i might end up eat my own hat by moving to desire.. haha only god knows!
p/s- but it depends on how successful paul or other devs ported the sense ui into nexus.. if it is as stable as the desire itself, i dont see any reason i should move to the desire..

Good reviews? ... I chose the N1 because of the good comments in 'leaked' reviews BEFORE the official launch. I am targeting android for some years, but, those days the HW and SW performances was not that attractive to me. So, after being one of the earliest persons who 'owned' the N1, I can say, Androd platform has great future, especially among 'hackers' I engraved my email to my N1, as a symbolic presentation of 'owning' the device. I short, I 0wn3d the N1 since day 1 I bought it This post has been edited by bahathir: Apr 6 2010, 01:54 PM

i love my n1, it is my 1st andriod phone, but it just can't give me the feeling that iPhone gave me 4 years ago... in a word, iphone gave is just like the girl you really love... ur true love... where N1 is a girl that u wanted to be with just becoz u r lonely now~ the phone is okie, but not superb for me, i still can't wait for iphone 4g or iphone HD(watever they call it) to launch.... These days, I am not exploring/experimenting my N1 as much when I received it, and the battery life is about 24 hours. Not bad la...1 hour net browsing in komuter, 1 hours of Jewelust and several phone calls This post has been edited by bahathir: Apr 6 2010, 01:55 PM
