well, i'm not 100% sure, but when i faced bootloop, i saw a comment to do wipe. i just wipe it, and reboot, and voila! its working.

i'm using CM 5.0.3 currently (which is fine), not changing to .4 until the issues are fixed tongue.gif

k, thanks smile.gif I already wipe it. (Wipe measn factory reset right?)

What the benefit of using CM 5.0.3?

From instruction I see at http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?/to...v5041-02272010/

and seems their instruction too shortcut, Is it neccesary do Nandroid backup and how?

How to do radio update?

How to install Google Add-on?

After use CM 5.0.3 or 5.0.4.1 - can back to original?

* Sorry for so many question, haha.

you have to install amon RA recovery image first...if you can get the recovery working then everything will be alright.
yes it is necessary to do nandroid back up so you can go back to previous backup if anything goes wrong.

you need to study on how to go to fastboot and recovery image first...and also the approriate command on how to do it.

google addon and cyan ROM in zip format put in your SD card...then install the zip file from amon ra recovery "window"
nandroid backup also can do it from recovery

radio image you can flash using fastboot...just put the radio image in c:\androidsdk\tools

i'm a first time android user and never use linux before can get it to work within few hours, so i think everyone can do it especially those who familiar with linux.

I'm not actually a guru here, but i'll try my best to help. tongue.gif

Yes install amon RA recovery image first.

benefit/updates of using CM 5.0.3 you can see in the changelog in the same link you posted.

Google Addon, you do it just like how you did with the CM, copy to the root directory of your SDCard.

Radio, i didnt install it, my wifis are working fine without it.

Nandroid, i dont think i did it too, was too confused and desperate when i did mine tongue.gif but its better you do it.
(http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Nandroid_backup - if you need to use the ALT + L step, I tried on mine, you should press and hold POWER button then press UP VOLUME key, we dont have hardware keyboard D: )

back to stock ROM? yes if i'm not mistaken, there's a stock ROM uploaded by one dude somewhere in the xda forum.

------------------------
------------------------
PS: gurus, when i boot into recovery mode, i dont see "Create Nandroid backup" option, i only see the following. (do you guys get this?)

Android system recovery <2e>

Use trackball to highlight; click to select.

reboot system now
apply sdcard:xxxxx.zip
wipe date/factory reset
wipe cache partition

E: cant open /cache/recovery/command

quoted from xda forums - AmonRa
"Please make sure that your ROM supports apps2sd if you plan to use the ext-features! (/system/sd MUST be available in the ROM)"

i guess its to store your backup to the SDCARD?

Nand backup is enough.

as for .3 or .4 its up to you.

.3 is more stable imo.
.4 has more updates and more features, but it has some issues. (checkout the post by shahz some post back)

Now I can't on the phone at all!

Volume down + power = not working
track ball + power = not working
