i am using win 7 HP now, i found tat google chrome doesnt perform well on it, always not responding on opening page, or close the tab, anyone having problem like this?

i'm going to buy this lappy soon,but i need to booking 1st,because no stock at my area. so i need opinion about price i get for this lappy. the price is RM 2484,gift only pendrive 4G and get extra 1year warranty. it is reasonable,because wat i read from this some of them receive a lot a gift etc..

Where's your area? And what type of free gifts can one expect apart from skin protectors, usb hubs and some cheapo mouse? IMHO, it's wiser to discard such gifts in favor of buying from sellers who are reliable.

now im thinking for a deal with da owner once he came back. i dont think its possible for me to swap my 4740 with new unsealed 4740G da laptop hasnt been registered online yet. or he might being too generous to return some money back, or perhaps he can top up for extended warraty for me? am i being too ridiculous..or demanding? any advice..

Talk to your fren (the owner)...maybe can swap with 4740G...Intel is NOT games friendly, usually just normal games or maybe some graphical games can be played with Intel GMA

Can you list down the spec...issit 4740G or 4740?? Be differentiate both as one comes with dedicated card while the other with Intel

i pay rm50 as deposit to order from them 4740G-432G50.because the only stock they have is 4740-331G32 and 4740-431G32. they said it take 1 week. i hope i can have it before this Chinese New Year,and with the exact model and spec.

p/s: i wish here also have lowyat or branch

If you're getting the pendrive and 2 years (1+1) warranty, RM 2484 sounds reasonable

Are you sure the 4740 is Intel Core i5??
Here in JB, we got 2 models

1. 4740-331G32Mn - Core i3 330 2.16Ghz, 1GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Intel 4500M - RM 1999
2. 4740G-432G50Mn - Core i5 430M 2.26Ghz, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Nvidia 310M and Windows Home Premium x64 - RM 2499

There is no Core i5 without Windows and Graphics Card. I bought model 2. In my opinion, For extra RM 500, u get original Windows, More Ram by 2GB, more hard disk by 140GB, Faster processor by 100 Mhz, Dedicated Graphics Card, and A processor which supports turbo-boost (Core i5), Core i3 doesnt. So, all out there, if you got the money, 4740G is the better Deal!!

i got myself a 4740G alrealdy ler..... so happy ! eh, this laptop can support sims 3 or not?

btw, what should i do with the battery ar? so tat it works in optimum?

Hi guys,

Please be reminded acer has created a recovery partition on the harddisk (for all preinstalled ACER OEM windows) thus if you need to reinstall your windows, you can access the recovery partition via ALT+F10 from startup or acer erecovery management from windows.

At the same time, it is adviceable for all users to burn out their own recovery cds via erecovery management. In the circumstances that the HDD needs to be changed or fully corrupted causing the recovery partition to malfunction, you can always use the recovery disc you burnt to reload back your windows and default software including the drivers.
