no not much diff..except i5 has turboboost..which is hardly utilized

my freezing prob is ok ad but now i have a new prob.
d laptop will black out suddenly, no matter wat i press/click oso it wun cum bek again. i have 2 force shut down it!
damn! its so frustrating!
anyone knows wat happened? plz x ask me 2 format it.

Well, seems like either OS problem or driver problem...this problem happen while on idle or suddenly blackout??

im x sure abt dat. when i on d laptop 4 about 1 or 2 hours, i do my work, den i will leave it there if im x doing work. when i cum bek, i played 4 a while, den it black out. d 'on' button still has d light, jz d screen is black. watever i pressed oso x response. d os always got prob 1. im planning 2 save a backup cd 4 d os, den switch it 2 xp. can ar?

Now on Win 7?? Why wanna revert to XP ...well,seems like the problem with the OS, before also got some user having problem with the screen goes black after idling for a while

ya, now is win7. win7 very problematic la.... xp has d least problem 1, i guess. i prefer xp oso. wish it supports xp, haiz... so sucks 1 ar...dats wat i hate abt buying new things, especially electronics. got prob need 2 bring it back 2 d place 2 repair n den bring it bek. spend extra on it n den have 2 worry abt whether d prob will reoccur or x & etc. so.... ish... geram la!!!

Well, got no problem using Win 7 for me...well, maybe still new for you though ...well, can try can install XP but you need to search the drivers on your own though ...

this laptop got overheat problem ... when play game , the Celsius reach over 100c then close ...

i rarely play games, im x a gamer. i use it jz 2 do my assignments, check my mails n fb-ing. maybe i opened for a very long hours until it was overheat. thanks 4 informing though. =)

Open 24/7 won't overheat ...unless you are doing something to stress the CPU/GPU, then it will ...

About that driver thingy, no need to buy, just download will do..and page load sometime slow/fast, seems to me the problem is either with the connection or the apps

I have a 4740G and the Acer fingerprint software thingy is bugging me. Everytime I want to login to YM or Outlook web access it keeps asking to put in fingerprint. How do I disable it? I probably will use it when logging into the PC and that's about it.
