Anyone who is signing up for contract, can you guys buy the Non-contract iPhone outright? How true is this information?

If so, those who signing up for contract, can I just couple with you and get another iPhone? I am opting for prepaid plan.

Anyone answer my query?

Anyone attending the midnight friday launch event?
Are guests allowed?
If my father is the main line and I'm the supplementary line, can I just fill up the form with my details and buy the phone or I need my dad to sign the contract when I buy the phone

@sayming,
U need the principal line holder to sign the contract. Yes the event is opened to public; which means U can bring ur friends but if they don't have the confirmation ID, they won't be given a chance to purchase a unit biggrin.gif

@tinkerbel: waitt... so i need the principal line holder to be there when i make the purchase?

there was an option when we signed up saying the supp line will become a principal line after then purchase.. so why would we need the principal to sign the contract again?

Well, about the Contract Upgrade. It's only for iPhone postpaid customers who are still currently on contract plan, the rest phone deals are not eligible. Yes, you can buy it outright, I've spoken with Maxis customer service over the line and in person.

Edited: Maybe what he understands from the Maxis CS is that...you can buy it outright but you'll have to buy 1 with contract first i guess..like bro strong said hmm.gif

That day my gf's brother under my supp line. He came back from SG and use the phone to go online for a while. Then 10000kb cost RM100 already.

My unlimited maxis broadband 1 month usage is around 7-8GB

@gooni3,
I use WiFi when I'm at WiFi-enabled areas unless the WiFi is crap otherwise I'm on my data. I don't YouTube hence perhaps that's why 500MB is suffice for me. My biggest problem is that lately, work emails are coming in and they can range from 5-8MB sad.gif

@nles,
Broadband is broadband. U use that differently and U start downloading more stuff when it's plugged onto a computer. It's never wise not to have a data plan if you're thinking of using data.

@fcchung,
Of course there's a closing date; it'll be closed when all the slots have been taken up!

@gooni3,
I used to be a workaholic and hung out a lot at the office. I've now changed my ways and have become more 'domesticated' hence I hang out at home after work! tongue.gif

When I initially signed on for the RM99/month plan, I thought I was gonna use my phone for tethering purposes and also because I needed it for work [plus office was paying] then when I left my job, I decided I was too cheapskate to be paying Maxis so much extras hence I went for iData 2 instead biggrin.gif
