The representative gave 2 options which you either buy outright or apply a new line, reconfirm in person and yes you can buy outright if you're existing Maxis customer. Only available 27th of September onwards.

Sorry if this has been asked b4. When we pick up our IP4, i guess each of us easily spend about 15min at the counter because of the phone inspection and also the staff will copy the contacts from our old sim card to the new micro sim. Am i right?

Maybe its a repetitive question...When u said buying outright, do u mean the average maxis customer or only those whom have purchased iphone or blackberry contracts previously can do that? I've mentioned, only current running postpaid customers with an iPhone plan that are eligible. The rest phone deals, no. You have to be a Maxis subscriber in order to buy it outright.

Thanks. Then I don't have to worry I can't use the microSIM when I still need to use my ip3gs. How much is the adapter?

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Sep 21 2010, 02:52 PM) @Mike3300, U mean we can buy the iPhone 4 outright on the 24th September?! Sure kah?! Now this is news to me! Reading so many posts asking same questions bored me to mati..however this CAN BUY OUTRIGHT thingy is interesting. Appreciate if someone can really confirm on this I don't mind buy a Hotlink starter pack just to get i4 outright.

@Blackbird, No.. I don't believe Maxis will help u copy the old contacts to ur new SIM card.. in that past, there was no need for a new SIM; am not sure what they gonna do this time round. @gooni3, Lol.. ur nick might be familiar but sorry, 2 years is a v long time! @jimmylim85, Aii.. adaptor v cheap only lah.. should be less than RM20. @neekun, Imagine U read onli sudah mau mati... what about @davidgary73 and I? We need to moderate and clean up the place! Mati x 2 Added on September 21, 2010, 3:31 pm@reevephon, Yes.. U can - so as long as ur existing VP150 plan is not bounded by any contracts. @TmNeTStreamyX, Should be can except the only thing U won't get to enjoy is to share your "usage" commitment.
@deepan84, Yup.. shouldn't be too difficult but I still think Maxis will need approx 10-15 mins with each customer; to do verification (or maybe that's done earlier?), for them to take the iPhone 4 out, show the customer and well, jot down and record down IMEI numbers + get U to sign the contract.

Tinker: thanks for the info. Btw iData 3 is better. Since there is 3gb you can use it to tethering can charge our phone. Browse Internet almost anywhere we go. My monthly usage about 2gb++. 500mb not sufficient as my bro iData 2 had a penalty hit of rm 250 for usage of another 600mb. Just facebook and youube is good enough to juice it up.
