I called up Maxis Customer Service 4 times to ask about their rates for IPHONE 4. This is my first time going thru their plans and I am only trying to be helpful. If i am wrong in the end, it is cause i relied on Maxis Customer Service. I am sorry if i ain't as informative as you.

and btw which plan do u use? enuf for data usage for a whole month? i'm sure u abuse ur phone rite hahahahah.. i used to have unlimited data plan at rm99 then somehow changed to rm120.. but couldn't get it back anymore.. so switched to 500mb

well, ok. all i value plan calls are to all networks. but i stil feel its a hell lot easier compared to digi which really strains my brains with all their number manipulation until now, i stil dun get digi's plan other than d point dat ur contractin ur plan for 2years.

if i signed up for iData plan.. that wouldn't affect my existing call plan right ?

Last time i remembered..my friend received a call from maxis for 3GS that...if he didn't come and collect his 3GS it will be sold off to another interested person...so...i don't think they'll slap you with a penalty...it's not so hard to sell iPhone...there's a lot of interested people out there..me think :-)

They have not updated the 3GS pricing yet, I guess.

I was on the RM99 Unlimited data plan until I decided I didn't need so much data + wasn't willing to pay Maxis so much $ hence when i3GS came out, I signed up for iData 2. 500MB is suffice for me; esp since I don't YouTube much.

iData plans are add-on plans so it wouldn't affect ur existing plan. I believe you can only sign up for the iData plans if you're on VP50. If you're on VP30 U won't be eligible [please check]

This is definitely a good news. I was worried that even we are given a Confirmation ID, what we can do at that day is just to place our booking and collect the phone 45 days later !!

who cares bout the 3gs price ?
i think the benefit is that you'll be getting an i4 earlier than everyone else.. b4 it runs out of stock and then have to wait few weeks for another shipment .. knowledge & others, i think LYN is very useful.. so many sifus here..

If now got RM150 unlimited I also don't mind paying, can tether then can terminate my maxis broadband.

Maxis doesn't show how many seats remaining when you choose the date and time anymore. Is it possible that they'll increase the number of seats? Sigh I don't wanna queue so long.

I don't believe there'll be more because they've prob oredi calculated how many units they can handle based on the total manpower they have for the night.

@tinkerbel: I am at the am at the same crossroad as you were.

Am still on the RM99 unlimited plan but I can't really justify continuing because I can't even use more than 1GB a month thus a lot of money is wasted. Contemplating to cancel the plan and go for something smaller.

Just the thought that I might in the near future surf more on 3G network makes me hesitate. Haiz! Losing $$$ every month.

This is also the reason why I am getting a phone outright from SG but the price really did shock me. Very good price.

If you tether using the SIM then keep to the RM99 Unlimited plan [because this plan is valid only for customers who's currently using it and won't be re-offered]. If U don't think U be using it much then perhaps it's time for u to start monitoring ur usage so you know how much data you're using. Thus far, I'm quite happy I haven't been conned to spend additional RM49 p/month
