Anyone attending the midnight friday launch event?
Are guests allowed?
If my father is the main line and I'm the supplementary line, can I just fill up the form with my details and buy the phone or I need my dad to sign the contract when I buy the phone
*
I also got the same problem. I called up CS to ask and she said there are two options:

1. Transfer ownership before goin for the launch (takes 1 working day to process) - eg your father and you have to go to a maxis centre and do the transfer

2. Take your father to the event.

I asked whether authorization letter and owner's copy ic enoughh? CS representative said no - the owner must be present even if you want to use authorization letter.

Before I get any barked at, please note that I got this info from Maxis Customer Service.

Let me know if someone got something diff! smile.gif

I wonder will the current iValue user get the extra data. This might be 1 deciding factor as well.

If they don't provide the benefit to the previous iValue owner, then probably wont wanna get myself lock to 2 years contract.

Yups !
Got conned by Maxis when i first got the iphone 3G . Lots of things not mentioned when you sign up

1) SMS not included in the iValue

2) The " system cycle " .
I got the plan at the end of the month , so thought the 1Gb data will be till 30 of thenext month ,
but actually , since my bill is out on the 14th every month , the pro-rata 1Gb to 14th = 450Mb .As usuall ,when get a new phone , start down loading and surfing like crazy , so over limit and charged Rm250 TWICE coz i only found out about this on the 3rd month (was on auto-debit)

3) Family plan canceled
Calls to sub-line no longer free

4) 3Gs out 3 weeks after i bought the 3G , can't trade in !

All in all , paid over Rm700 . Went to Maxis CS , she says she understands , coz she is experiencing the same problem , same with hundreds of others !
Seems they've re-worked their billing , but it's Rm700 down the drain mad.gif

So be careful guys when you sign up for your iP4

@nles
I think existing users data usage will be automatically upgraded come next week; but I think it's best if you get the information officially from Maxis and not from me biggrin.gif

@nles,
Yes.. U still get free calls between ur supplementary/Family Plan lines with this iValue plans. The only thing U won't be able to share is the commitment usage as I've mentioned.

How about the tariff on Family Plus?
Value Plus 80, then the family plus call charges same as principal line ~
Then how about iValue1 or iValue155?

@JasonKid,
The tariff will be based on whatever Value Plus plan they're on. If they're on VP80 then they'll pay the VP80 tariffs.

I mean, once i change to iValue1, their RM0.12/per min remain unchanged?
Since iValue1, the call charge is RM0.15/per min ~

@JasonKid,
What plans are they currently on right now? If they're on VP30 their tariffs will automatically be switched to that, whatever the rate is.

@alston1203,
Your confirmation ID is locked to ur phone number; if u aren't around to sign the contract, they won't release the phones to U.

Principal line : Value Plus 80
Supplementary : Value Plus Family

Now principal line want to get a iValue100 ~
Since Value Plus Family call rate RM0.12/min only as the principal line
If Value Plus remain RM0.15/Min

@JasonKid,
Currently your family members are enjoying tariffs based on your VP80 plan. As soon as you're off that plan, they will have to pay tariffs based on whatever commitment they're on. Say for example, if one of them is on VP30 and another on VP50, when you sign up under iValue, they'll be paying the VP30 and VP50 tariffs respectively. Your rates will be that as reflected on the iValue plans.
