guys!!! i just spoke to their CS, they said those who got confirmation ID will definitely been reserved the unit(s) they booked!! yayyy! and, we need to be early to avoid spending so long in the queue. but as long we get into the queue, shouldnt be a problem as we're invited with ID and, we can also bring friend(s) along although we're the only one with the invitation. the units are reserved to those who did receive the confirmation ID from the invite! cant wait! oh oh, and... HSBC CC is accepted!!! double triple yayyy!

QUOTE(fylon @ Sep 21 2010, 11:26 AM) Just read across maxis side for the iValue plan. Just wonder, the xxx minutes Free local calls is point to maxis to maxis call or maxis to other operation? I called up Customer service and they said its only Maxis to Maxis tho QUOTE(echoesian @ Sep 21 2010, 12:19 PM) If Maxis is giving 200 free SMS to all telco, I'm sure will sign in Maxis.. Same as above. Everything free is only between maxis to maxis. After that, the rate according to plan will be charged for all telco incl maxis to maxis

@gooni3, There's pros and cons and the biggest advantage of getting it in MY is that it's warrantied locally. The biggest disadvantage aside from price is that U'll have to wait a lil longer than if U order or buy urs from SG.

Will all Maxis Centres nationwide carry the iPhone4 as well next monday? Their Excel list only shows resellers.

@AlexGTX, To be safe, U better bring along the confirmation ID.
@gooni3, Go read the warranty conditions for iPhone if U don't believe me.

nvm lets take it as you're right and if this is the case would rm300 be worth the warranty for local..
is it still a matter of preference or an obvious choice is apparent?

I would prefer local warranty, at least I do not need to bear the transportation charges to send all the way down south. Anyway, it is still cheaper than SG sets though, if you haven't subscribed to any 3G plans. And you have to wait for 3 weeks if you order it now.

@gooni3, It's always a matter of preference. Also, if U want an outright unit U'll have to wait and U don't know how long that wait is. My set's from SG but then again, my other previous sets were from NZ and AU respectively.

@reevephon Perhaps U'll like to call Maxis for some clarifications. Let us know what the final outcome is so I can give out the right information the next person decides to ask

@gooni3, There's no unlimited data offered by Maxis. If you think 500MB is worth the $, U might as well sign up for iData 2 with your existing plan; it's quite worth the money since you'll be saving RM8 p/month x 12 months = RM96 + the difference in phone price

@bizness, The questions you've asked we can't answer. U go queue as and when U want to queue; I'm sure the place will be opened anyways ; and if it's not opened then U just queue outside As to what U need to bring - shouldn't that information be available in that confirmation email you received; if not then call up Maxis and ask them I suspect U'll prob just have to bring urself, the moolah & ur IC.
