questions here

1) the TM homeline is under my dad's name, i can apply unipack with my name as long as there is my dad's authorisation right? how is the authorisation done?

2) if homeline is dad's name, unipack is my name, am i still waive for the rm26 phone rental?

3) anyone know TMpoint around cheras tmn connaught area? or any nearest?

hi all. I have few questions regarding the hp netbook.

1. the netbook comes with the windos 7 basic. If i want to install windows xp, from where i can get all the drivers?
2. Did hp provide windows recovery cd?incase i wanted to install back my original windows 7.....
3. Anyone upgraded the windows 7 basic to windows 7 premium or ultimate?if yes how is the performance?will it lagg because it only come with 1 gb of ram???

i just got my streamyx install today
the tm guys hand us a letter and ask us to send in the back the letter to tm pointto get the netbook
do i really need to do this?

I didn't get that 'letter' that u mention. I only got the blue copy of service acceptance form which is fill up by them and asking for signature at the bottom that's all.

And mine just installed yesterday.

Why XP? Go for 7 Ultimate bro.. Darn, I got problem with my line. They couldn't install 4Mbps atm.. Have to wait for something.. Does that mean I'll get my netbook late?

It is possible that we terminate our line for 30days ady, sign the Cool Uni Pack ady then only they tell "Eih, no more laptop for u leh." ?

beacuse i sked the netbook will become lagg if using ultimate...with the aero features....thats y i am asking and c how is the performance...if anyone ha install it..

Few questions here, I hope I can get some useful information from you guys before I head to the TM Point.

My house is currently having TM Homeline, monthly rental RM26 and 1MB Streamyx package, monthly RM88. Both of them are under my father's name and my father passed away in year 2001. Currently I'm taking Northumbria University in KDU College, it's 2nd year of the study right now in bachelor course.

Since my father has passed away, and monthly coming bill are under his name, what should I do in order to get this promotion package?

1) I heard that I only need to bring death certificate of my father to the counter of TM Point, immediately can transfer the Streamyx holder name to my name, is it true?

2) Do I need to transfer both TM Homeline and Streamyx name to my name?

3) Upon the process, will they terminate my internet service? Or they will just upgrade silently until we notice in one day?

4) Any charges will be taken in transferring name and other stuff?

5) After we get the netbook, we can just do anything to the netbook as we like, for the example "throw away"?

I used to upgrade from my 512kb package to 1MB package through internet application, it took about 2 weeks to complete without terminating my service. I just hope this time they won't terminate my service when upgrading...

Best of luck, its best to consult the TM fellas to confirm it. Logically wut the point billing a bill to a deceased person. Sorry about ur father.

It's really funny about my TM stuff in my family. My father passed away in June 2001, and I subscribe Streamyx in around year 2003 and we fake the signature of my father. End up we got the internet service.

Until now there's a good offer from TM, that's why I am looking for upgrading but then the ownership stuff and terminating issue which makes me worry a lot. One day without internet I will just die in my own room.

1) U might need the photocopy of ur dad's IC. But its best if u consult the TM staff to confirm.

2) I'm not sure of that. Coz i haven't actually got my first bill yet.

3)Nearest TM Point around Tmn Connaught? Not sure of that, i did mine at TM Point cyberjaya. The fact is I can do it at TM Point Kajang.

Then u'll need to submit it at tm point. First year or second year student?
