Okay, I registered the line currently under my own name.. So, what do I have to do at the TM Point tomorrow? Seriously I want the free netbook. Oh btw, my current line is Streamyx Combo 1Mbps for RM110.. And I applied it February last year which means no contract any more. And I'm still a student at a local u. Doing my 4th sem out of six. Am I eligible?

Moral of the story is always try to register anything using your own name.. haha.. coz I did and the conversion was a breeze.. Previously I subscribed for combo 1Mbps at RM110 a year ago. So now the 12 month contract has ended, I came to TMpoint to change to CoolUniPack. It was simply an up-gradation that requires 0 ringgit. I subscribed for 4Mbps coz the price is only RM100.. So, I saved RM10 per month but at the same time, 4x the speed.

I don't know.. but it seems that young people are the main target for most industry.. Especially telecommunications industry. S.O.X, U.O.X, HYC, DG Campus, CoolUniPack, Amax student plan, P1 student plan, celcom broadband student plan, Apple computer student price, Microsoft Offiece 2007 student edition, etc.. At least that's what I can see currently.

You have to go to TMPoint and get the form first. Next, get the 'cop' and signature from your campus' authority. Then submit the form and please bring along your student ID. Not sure about which college/university are eligible for this though.

You got some twist there. I mean, you are not totally in my position. 1st, last December? December 2009 or December 2008? Coz my contract started when I registered for landline (that requires rm70 plus and rm90 plus) and streamyx combo at the same time last year in February 2009. So now it's already exactly a year. 2nd, I'm not too sure about what will happen about transferring ownership.. Sorry, can't help much.

TM called me to install the wireless router modem but I'm not home till next weekend. I asked them to come back this Monday and I hope my brother will be there to monitor them. Wait, I already get free wireless router modem last year because of Streamyx Combo offerings so now I don't really need a second one. But if it's free, why not right? But, why does the contractor told me he was there to install it? I mean, I don't wanna get charged for their service. I can install it myself.. So now I don't know whether I will be charged for their service or it's free..? Anyone? This post has been edited by lowyard: Mar 20 2010, 04:14 PM

Darn. TM technician just came to my house to inspect the speed and requirements or etc and the result is a failure or in other word, there is a problem. What problem, I don't really know coz I only know this from my brother and he doesn't even bother to remember exactly what the problem is. However, the technician said he will come by tomorrow to try to solve the problem. Please 4Mbps, don't fail me..

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Mar 23 2010, 12:14 AM) I read your blog. Don't insert any sim card into this HP Mini, nothing will happen because there is no card in that compartment. Worse, if the card inside, you'll have to open the casing (although not difficult) Darn... I can't wait to get my hands on my HP mini!!!

Any ideas?

If you are not registering for Streamyx for the first time, then it'll be free and considered as an 'upgrade' from previous plan. To achieve this easy 'upgrade' without the need to terminate first and having to wait for a cool period of 1 month before allowed to reapply back, you must be the rightful owner of the registered line and submit the form with a chop from your university/college. Hope I'm clear enough bout this.
