got a question abt working part time in aus
i browse through the thread and most of the part time jobs suitable for students mentioned here are working as waiters in restaurants or cashiers in supermarkets. I wonder what is the availability of part time bookkeeping or accounting clerk jobs over in aus? like working for those sole traders or small companies that found it unfeasible to hire a full time accountant. What is the pay like? i have some accounting certs and a diploma under my belt. At the same time,i have 2-3 years working experience from malaysia. |

QUOTE(Holyboyz @ Jan 26 2011, 02:09 PM) Cheers Haya, Optus has significantly better coverage than Three, but their prepaid plans are very confusing. I've given up trying to make sense of them. They used to be very good value for money, but I think they're now just trying to bleed the international students (who make up the bulk of their prepaid users) dry with their hidden charges and tiered (prepaid) "cap" plans.i guess ill go over and talk to the admins about my educational prospects. Comments about optus? i hear from friends is the best all around Telstra's prepaid plans aren't too shabby, and if there is one thing you generally can't complain about Telstra, its their coverage. |

If I may ask, undergraduate or postgraduate? yeah. kelvin grove. I saw from pictures that it is quite a nice place. I'm still an undergraduate student. we're the last batch that MOE sent for twinning with QUT. there supposed to be 5 cohorts, but due to some economic prob, there's only 2 batches though. just realised that you're from QUT too!! looking forward to see you soon! haha maybe you can share info about good telco and internet provider for that area? |

QUOTE(angelsien @ Jan 28 2011, 06:59 PM) 20 minutes by bus. i am at SIBT too. this is my 2nd last semester here. my finals start tomorrow. about the cost i really not sure. the rest of the rooms are smaller than mine so the landlord said that he will charge lower for the rest of the rooms but i dunno by how much. And another thing is, you must not convert everything into myr when u wanna buy things. It will drive you crazy. Almost everything here is more expensive then in malaysia. even the cheapest lunch at the shopping centre beside macuarie needs 5aud. |

(i used my feet and a 15cm ruler to measure sounds pretty good and the room seems big! cause im actually looking for somewhere around there also. but i think transport should be fine for me ler, cause im getting a bike there. and ofcourse the + point is someone local ! and i cant find yanko road on google map @_@ if you dont mind can you give another landmark building nearby . heh thanks! |
