QUOTE(treble27 @ Dec 27 2010, 08:22 PM) Currently now the best and most reliable one is with amnet, iinet, internode. And yeah the price is quite competitive, so mayb package and deal will change in the nxt few months? But I'm getting internode since it's the best for gaming, holiday don't go bk malaysia + part time work. So xbox 360 and game when i'm free But if you just want cheap and reliable connections, there's dodo and others. QUOTE(Antarnis @ Dec 28 2010, 02:43 PM) Hi guys, I'm new here Perth is perth man, u'll get it when u come here for few months Can anyone advise me about Perth and the life there? What essentials do I need? Where can I work to earn some extra allowance? Thanks Whatever u do, don't work at asian shops and chinese restaurant. They'll rip u off, mayb pay u $10 per hour and make u WORK. The best place to work is fastfood, supermarker shops since they pay basic which is $20+ per hour + alot of benefits that follows. Job is not hard to find if you are determined, apply all the jobs online near your place. Giving out resume's to every supermarket's at your area. QUOTE(haya @ Dec 29 2010, 08:36 AM) For the love of your sanity and all tech support staff, please DO NOT use dodo as a ISP. Cheap, yes. Reliable? Even Streamyx is more consistent than them at times. And one can never call Dodo's network fast. hehe u try dodo be4 izit? my housemate hav been using it for a very long time. everyday he skype and dl movies, and the speeds are pretty fast ! 200-300k no sweat ! i'm not lying here, i saw it since he told me to dl movies on his lappy bcuz alot of quota left in his account. But consistent wise not sure bout this part ..Seriously, even Telstra's plans are better than them once you read the fine print and add up all them hidden charges. |

QUOTE(haya @ Dec 31 2010, 03:05 PM) I presume you mean downloading at 200-300 kilobytes per second. (Not that most people know the difference) With ADSL 2+, that is below average. I routinely hit 500-600 KB/s while in quota (which is actually quite generous these days). yeah to me 200-300kb ps is pretty fast since I'm using it for free, bt gonna get internode soon once i moved into a new hs And I'm the far end of the exchange coverage area. Oh you poor poor Malaysians, thinking 200-300KB/s is fast. (admittedly, it is kinda decent) Malaysia Boleh indeed. streamyx is like a fat in a hurricane la compare to aus ISP's |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Dec 31 2010, 07:17 PM) Depends on what you want to buy. iPods are probably the cheapest things you can get over here, in fact you can even find prices cheaper than in US. electronic stuff stil expensive rite? yeah i did compare with US, monitors, macbook stil expensive. But xbox 360 slim 250gb $348 at big w specials untill 3rd january now. Cheapest now in aus .. ( I earn my own aud but I wont spend them on things that are cheaper in malaysia hehe )Other electronic stuff wise, unless you're earning AUD otherwise after conversion to ringgit it can actually be more expensive. But dollar-to-dollar it's considered as cheap. The exception is digital cameras but I'm probably not the best person to comment on this since I'm not into photography. There are often crazy dirt-cheap deals around though... Keep an eye on stock clearances/warehouse sales where prices can go way below RRP. QUOTE(onelove89 @ Dec 31 2010, 09:38 PM) even thou i'm onli here for bout 5 months, I've bookmarked : http://www.1-day.com.au/home.do <-- ( missed out on the $39.99 20kg dumbell ... ) http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/?order_by=Newest+Hottest http://www.ozbargain.com.au/ http://dealdump.com.au/ |

QUOTE(nhb555 @ Jan 23 2011, 11:34 PM) well been here for few days and seriously i don think i can fit into the culture as well . They seems so relax which i don reli like . My hometown Bintulu a small place in Sarawak is more busy than Perth lol.. My dad came here for few days he said he will die if living is australia LOL ! .. it depends on ppl but i quite agree with my dad tat he said tat he use Malaysian Ringgit to let me study if i stay in Australia means we are giving our money free of charge to tat country . I think a lot of china ppl work here for few years and move bak to their country haha .. It all depends what kind of lifestyle u wan . But for me i think Malaysia is still the best coz is my hometown the place where i am born . I love Malaysia even though we have corrupted government but who cares ? At least is liveable and the corruption doesn affect our lifes anyway . Still a lot of ppl migrate coz of corrupted government but does tat reli affect how u live ? haha . Don't boom me a... I'm just giving my point of view Overall perth is still better in terms of living standard. |
