I presume you mean downloading at 200-300 kilobytes per second. (Not that most people know the difference) With ADSL 2+, that is below average. I routinely hit 500-600 KB/s while in quota (which is actually quite generous these days).

And I'm the far end of the exchange coverage area.

Oh you poor poor Malaysians, thinking 200-300KB/s is fast. (admittedly, it is kinda decent) Malaysia Boleh indeed.

Depends on what you want to buy. iPods are probably the cheapest things you can get over here, in fact you can even find prices cheaper than in US.
Other electronic stuff wise, unless you're earning AUD otherwise after conversion to ringgit it can actually be more expensive. But dollar-to-dollar it's considered as cheap. The exception is digital cameras but I'm probably not the best person to comment on this since I'm not into photography.

There are often crazy dirt-cheap deals around though... Keep an eye on stock clearances/warehouse sales where prices can go way below RRP.

well been here for few days and seriously i don think i can fit into the culture as well . They seems so relax which i don reli like . My hometown Bintulu a small place in Sarawak is more busy than Perth lol.. My dad came here for few days he said he will die if living is australia LOL ! .. it depends on ppl but i quite agree with my dad tat he said tat he use Malaysian Ringgit to let me study if i stay in Australia means we are giving our money free of charge to tat country . I think a lot of china ppl work here for few years and move bak to their country haha .. It all depends what kind of lifestyle u wan . But for me i think Malaysia is still the best coz is my hometown the place where i am born . I love Malaysia even though we have corrupted government but who cares ? At least is liveable and the corruption doesn affect our lifes anyway . Still a lot of ppl migrate coz of corrupted government but does tat reli affect how u live ? haha . Don't boom me a... I'm just giving my point of view 

im just bringing the pc..monitor buy there cause my monitor cacat edi....i dun really noe the weight but im guessing around 13kg? haya recommend taking out the hard disk, cd drive and any shaky bits and add loads of padding...hopefully it'll be alright when it reaches...hehe
