There are only rumors. Do you know if WM7 is built on a whole new platform or is it still using Windows CE 5 platform? The answer is, no one knows except Microsoft.

There's nothing but rumors.

Just wait for the MWC in February, then we'll see if Microsoft are true to their words that WM7 is based on a whole new platform or still using Windows CE 5 platform. If WM7 is still based on Windows CE 5, I'd move to Android.

im not declined that HTC wont make a device based on android.

but if u looking back to HTC history.

they have a HD2 on WM6.5, and then they come out with HTC Passion aka Dragon, with the same specs as HD2.
(4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor)

if the rumored device called HD3, then it will most like inherited its predecessors, which is running WM.

i think HTC woudnt jupm from WM into android for HD series. they will rename it to other name instead of HTC HDx

Last thing i heard is WM7 is based on CE 6.1 "Chelan" platform. I read it somewhere that microsoft themselves said it thou...Not very very sure...

But then again, i have some feeling that thou its a whole new platform, microsoft won't just abandon the older devices because if they do that they would lose all their customers in one shot. Especially when the Android and iPhone is heating up the challenge with them.

yea, microsoft is planning WM7 is for premium phone, with crazy specs. whereas, WM6.5.x is for mid-low ranged phones.

Nahh, I'll just wait for it to be official, else, it's only rumors to me.
No information is written by Microsoft themselves.

Even their website didn't say anything about WM7.

of caz they wont post it on their official website.

if they wan to announce anything, technet is more suitable for all these.

yeah, rumors still rumors. but i just gv my opinion based on my past experience.

i think WIP product won't appear on their website.

usually they will announce it at conferences or interview.

website only announce when the product development comes to final stage or beta.

u know why so many big companies spent million of money on their network security? is because of prevent business spying from competitors.

if microsoft leaked any production information at early stage to competitors,

then the competitors will make another better product to encounter microsoft.

yea, registry editing nid to do a lot of try n error.

perhaps u can try find a sifu at xda. some of them very willing to help.

with experienced sifu guiding, will be easier than do it alone.

I didn't have SOD issues for quite a while but just like I mentioned earlier on, this current 23518 is really a battery drainer.

I kinda agree...... I think.

1) I don't know what to answer on question 1 because I don't subscribe to Valkyrie's thread.

2) Not sure either as I didn't see any differences between the 2 ROMs, but if agent_47 said there's a performance increase, I believe him. I don't think he'd lie.

It would be awesome if more developers focus on bringing Xperoid from dream to reality.
