Guys if xperia is still under warranty but don't have the warranty card, still can claim warranty ah? Original Thorus phone...
*
Can, but they will check your manufacturing date, not the date you purchased it.

Been using FireStorm LEO 23517 since 6.00 AM today.
Everything seems to be in working order.

Talking about speed, I see no difference with 28014 LEO II. No differences at all.

Though I'm a bit confused.
If now it's already 28014 for WM 6.5.3, why it's going back to 23571 numbering? rclxub.gif
*
Because 28xxx series is the newer ones, with more experimental things in it. When it is stable, then it will be transferred to 23xxx, which have less buggy experiments.

Microsoft is currently developing the new WM in different 'waves', experimenting various ideas. When everything is done, you'll see that they package it to WM7, with extra eye candy of course.

So WM7 is still using the Windows CE 5 platform?
Damn, I thought they are going all out new like Windows Vista for PC.

So my next upgrade should be an android based platform. hmm.gif
*
Unfortunately yes, still using the CE 5 platform.

I'm not too optimistic over WM 7 either, my next phone will be an android, considering i'm not getting a new phone anytime soon, Androird should be very established by then.

Eh, doesn't anyone in here uses their Xperia with SPB Mobile Shell? shocking.gif
I want to try it, but I want to know if anyone in here has any experience using it in your Xperia before.
*
It's either TF3D or SPB Mobile Shell... I still prefer the eye candy that TF3D offers.

SPB in panel mode is too slow, especially the latest version. Hopefully they'll release a major fix.

As for HD2 vs Nexus One, depends on whether you would like to stick (or get stuck) with WM, which in the future will definitely see worse and worse decline in production of apps, or Android, which is growing very fast but at the current moment has less apps compared to WM.

yea.. i've used it before.. why? what u wanna know yeah?
@KenLui, it has keyboard but i need to sms with a hand... touch screen are prone to typo  mad.gif :S sometimes touch wrongly, it just cancelled or deleted what i was typing..  rclxub.gif

btw, the keyboard.. some keys are too sensitive while some are not blunt.. lolx.. so.. hmmmmmm
*
For short messages yes, keypads are faster. But when it comes to writing a long email for example, nothing can beat the goodness of full hardware QWERTY keyboard!

Ah, I remember those days where I would update a long post on my blog using X1's keyboard. No more nowadays, since the keyboard is like shit and touchscreen is just hopeless.

Hey sunny, x1 is good but X2 is coming out soon wor, you sure you don't want to wait? X2 is a good choice to buy if you haven't own a X1 haha...
Dinner anyone? 7pm tongue.gif

I'd rather get a TP2 than an X2.

Tried, tested, no quality flaws. Plus, it gets the super wonderful support of xda developers.

Somehow I prefer the 3 icon shortcut in manila homescreen over the 4 icon provided by the max manila. 3 looks more spacious from aesthetics wise.
*
I agree it's nicer to see. But I really need the convenience of 16 shortcuts as I access a lot of apps regularly. Plus, the Call History shortcut on the Home Tab is invaluable.

Guys, what's the rilphone.cab for?
It it important? hmm.gif
*
It's something like a driver for your radio. It's supposed to fully integrate the radio version with your phone and it can be cooked in a ROM (while radio cannot).

Currently, rilphone 1.14 is great on 1.14, 1.16 and 1.17. It is not advisable to use an older rilphone for radio versions 1.14 and above

wanna ask....since my x1i is 2ndhand..it runs on WM6.1....how to reset it to totally fresh, meaning just like out from factory setting?
*
If it has been hard-SPLed and flashed to 3rd party ROM, then you'll need to revert back to Stock-SPL and download the appropriate official ROM.

It's it's already official ROM without any modifications, just hard reset it. Refer to page 1 on how to hard reset.

Nobody said Windows Mobile was easy to use.

To those using MaxManilla 2.81, is there any slow down in performance?

I heard that MaxManilla is quite slow if not cooked into the ROM.

I'm not sure either? I just saw in the release log that the screen orientation problem is fixed. Maybe you should refer to the thread, maybe got something somewhere...

I'm too busy nowadays to flash around and try beta things, lol.

The technology is already there, but nobody seem to be manufacturing it.

Where is the Snapdragon with full QWERTY keyboard and Android?

None of us is having crashes, though there may be a few lockups, but no crashes.
About the chinese character, think for 1 minute, most of those ROM cookers are not chinese. I don't think anyone of them is Chinese.
NRGZ228 is an American, agent_47 is an Indian & system-zero is from Japan. Not sure about other cookers though.
Why would they cook chinese input & character in their ROMs if they aren't going to use it?

Remember, these cookers cook their rom to their own personal liking. They do it for fun. They aren't paid to cook ROMs.

Cooking a rom is about cuztomizing a ROM to your own liking.

You want something perfect, cook your own ROM. wink.gif

WM7 needs 1GB ROM?

Why am I not surprised? I have a feeling that WM7 will be just another bloated OS that other, smaller OS like the Android can compete head to head with it.
