^Pocket PC files are .cab file, not .exe.

Correct me if im wrong.

.cab are installers. once a program is installed, you execute it with its .exe file. if a certain program comes just with .exe, it's very much executable on its own without installation. and of coz the program has to be for ppc platforms.

Do i need to do hard spl everytime i wanted to change to new rom?

usually no need to format. just format once. maybe there is an error when u transfer the file to ur SD.

Still got error image not found,and i've format my sd..btw,can i just trnsfer the Kovsimg.nbh file using storage tranfser?rather than sync trasnfer?

if cant flash via storage card, use RUU instead.

How to use ruu?any guide link please.it said image not found in tri colour.

download the attracted file

extract it into a folder, and then put the image same folder with the X1_Custom_RUU.exe

run RUU.exe, check all the boxes and click next, untill ur phone boot in tri color.

if u 1st time use RUU to flash ur phone, the 1st time it will fail.

actually is not a serious problem, it is because ur windows doesnt have the driver.

let ur windows find and update the driver if u r in vista or 7.

after installed driver run RUU.exe again, now ur phone should able to enter tri color and start flashing.

ROM files is very delicate.

If you're going to download using download manager which will use multiple connection, don't ever use more than 4 connections.
I've always had corrupted ROMs if I'm using more than 4 connection.

Just as I've expected.
It's a corrupted ROM.
Re-download it again but this time don't use any download manager.

I've always used PC as a method to flash my X1, I've never used MicroSD to flash my X1, thus I do know what I'm talking about.

i think ur X1 device ID doesnt match the ROM ID...

there is a way to fix it, but is kinda complicated.

1 more important note if you're going to flash using your computer: DO NOT run Windows Media Player, the success rate of flashing X1 using PC while Windows Media Player is running is 1%.
