anyone tried to put 4x1G ram to p4p800-x? bios reading is less than 3G. Used cpuz and it can detect 4096MB, but system property only written 2.96G for both XP and windows 7.
any fix for this?

For Windows XP, use 2GB enough~~ My P4 running on Windows 7 with 4GB RAM also still feels slow haha

yeah, 2GB is more than enough i think, unless you do a lot of intensive tasks slightly OT, i wonder if it's OK to run 7 on 1GB ram anyone here tried before with their P4?

haha..i'm tempted to run 7 on my AMD x2 now, although with 1GB. So if can get any feedback from P4 users here, can roughly know what the performance will be like. If still using P4 i dont think i'll run on 7
