i send it to shop for troubleshooting, coz after a few days the pc couldn't even boot up. mobo is confirmed faulty. dont know whether to get a cheap 2nd hand replacement, or might as well just get a newer platform 2nd hand set, maybe like 775 or AM2 hmm.gif

anyone tried to put 4x1G ram to p4p800-x? bios reading is less than 3G. Used cpuz and it can detect 4096MB, but system property only written 2.96G for both XP and windows 7.

any fix for this?

yeah, 2GB is more than enough i think, unless you do a lot of intensive tasks tongue.gif
slightly OT, i wonder if it's OK to run 7 on 1GB ram laugh.gif

haha..i'm tempted to run 7 on my AMD x2 now, although with 1GB. So if can get any feedback from P4 users here, can roughly know what the performance will be like.
If still using P4 i dont think i'll run on 7 tongue.gif
