I think you should tell them that Stamp duty act requrement is only for new account opening and not switching of plan..Like that, everytime add or delete a package also RM10 stamp duty!! Stamp duty is paid to Government...If they collect it without following to stamp duty act, we can complain to IRD!

Unless, they inform you this is their Admin or service charge hmm.gif ..So far my Jan bill free of such charges..If yes...I will start complaining dy..

That is assuming it is a static graphic. Lots of tv stations do this and use moving grapics. Anyway you only do this on shows that aren't wide screen and why would you broadcast a wide screen picture if you have no programmes therefore it won't be used all the time and you won't burn anything into the TV.

Was going to release this when I got home tonight but since you asked

http://stinkyfruit.wordpress.com/2010/01/2...b-yond-decoder/

As a beta tester and an astro employee I'll try and do a few blog posts dedicated to B.yond and try and wrap up most of the major questions that are being repeated on here.

I don't work in our programming or marketing devisions so I'm sorry I'm not able to answer questions about installers, channel line up and pricing. Plus it just wouldn't be appropriate for me to do so. I will, when I get the chance, answer questions related to broadcast and tech. Drop a question on my blog if you like and I'll try to cover that topic in future posts

Cheers
Justin

Thanks for the info mate. One more question, do I need to connect HDMI cable for both Beyond Decoder-LCD and Beyond Decoder-Home Theater to receive the Dolby 5.1. Can I just connect the digital audio cable from the beyond decoder to my Home Theater? Will it be sufficient enough?

it will work but it means using the home theatre remote to change volume settings. It is highly recommended to sync the system and programme the remote to control the amps volume.

just try any rca audio / video cable fist and see if you could get signal...sometimes there's no difference to use this in comparison to with those digital coaxial cable...but the proper one should be more reliable in terms of build quality and should last longer for the long run

a digital coaxial cable should be sold in most major electronic stores now...price should be from RM30 to exorbitant prices...

There is a difference, for digital, you need optical or coaxial.
(And reading the Astro B.yond connecting Sony AVR/TV post, it is necessary for dolby 5.1)

I recommend just getting the ones sold at ACE hardware, not so expensive and there is some quality.

Bro, any chance of improving the PQ over HDMI? Currently the majority says that thru Component is better.
