if you got a nice optical view finder...then it can bring you more accuracy shot..but a550 wasnt design for tat...
*
Yeah, especially the noticeable lag on the LV on moving object.

When I take my baby, have to see her directly rather than LV to capture the "moment"......

QUOTE(neo_lam @ Jan 18 2010, 10:59 PM)
after using DSLR quite some of the time...found tht viewfinder just become the all....
a550 got the smallest viewfinder but still got Quick LV so still can cope with some situation....
for me i will go for bigger viewfinder model....
*
Yeah, I knew about the inferior viewfinder but I was going for the LV instead (among other things).

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 18 2010, 11:05 PM)
Those with this mentality obviously is living under a rock. To be honest, I'm used to be one who thinks DSLR + LV = stupid but once I've played with the a330, it completely rewrites my perception towards LV in DSLR.

With LV, there are more shots could be taken where it was previously impossible, such as in a narrow area etc.

I see. The other advantage of the a550 over lower range is that the LCD has 3x more pixel, making viewing of pictures taken so much nicer. nod.gif

Sample pics

guys i've found a site comparing several DSLR tat's on par with A550...but i cant help but to notice the poor performance by A550 when shooting that "cat" pic...can be viewed on d link above...is that because of d noise reduction turned on or something?seemed out of focus... hmm.gif
*
it could be due to the lens used during the test,...

ReasonsofThanatos: That is a badly done comparison. The studio shot was at 50mm F10.0 1/20s!

1/20s is no guarantee that it will be clear of motion blur. It also looks misfocused.

So go tell your friend to look at more professionally-done reviews.

taking baby, u should use smile shutter to capture smile... and A550 is the only dslr with smile shutter. other camera brand can never implement smile shutter on their cam due to thier LLV (lagging live view)

since my intention of opening a special treads of a330 failed..so just focus on this tread only lor..for my a330 tongue.gif

i tried to figure out..how to choose a focus point during photo shoot..using auto focus mode.
the auto focus normally auto-detects object that we focus..and most of the time this feature is not smart enough to detect our desired object.
i read somewhere in the manual book that we can actually manually choose focus points while shooting target (auto-focus is turned on)
until now...i still can't do it hmm.gif hmm.gif
anybody can help me.. icon_question.gif

aiyo bro...dont blame the camera, blame the user la... tongue.gif

if set to wide focus, the camera will detect the nearest object and focus...thats why sometimes u see the camera wont focus to the desire subject...check back ur manual bro...try looking for AF Area and set to Local.... smile.gif

im always the fan of center focus point n recompose..wahahaha..altho i know the distance changes a lil when i recompose..but i guess so far the DoF is stil deep enough to cover my usage for portrait/event..for the rest(toy..bug..landscape) i usually use manual focusing..
