selective coloring...?i do it in photoshop..1layer of color 1 layer of black n white..and do masking accordingly..

from the pic above the lens got the AF/MF switch, but our alpha got the switch too right? wat happened if we turn 1 to AF n the other to MF?

lol, thx 4 the info but i'm a beginner. Is it alright to have the a550? is it complicated to use its GUI? From wad i read, reviews said that the a230 has a new GUI which is noob-userfrendly =D ie: suits me.  So, im wondering whether a550 has that GUI  thx agn...

some IS/VR is up to 4 stops...but mostly 3 stops if IINM
A500/A550 Claimed equivalent to 2.5 – 3.5 steps in shutter speed
A700 Claimed equivalent to 2.5 – 4 steps in shutter speed
A900 Claimed equivalent to 4 steps in shutter speed

Frankly, i prefer the hansign warning in the VF (for sony) than the vibrating VR/IS
Some say VR/IS is better than SSS but i find both equally good:)

i've come across alot ppl claiming that SSS is inferior to VR/IS..well..they might be true as i have nothing to prove them wrong..but again..SSS is more than enough for me to produce a stable shot..so i havnt feel the need for "betteR" stabilizer

i did a simple test along side my operator's D90..my a300 and my technician's 5Dm2..all of us were shooting at 150mm(if i remember correctly) and 2 of them with their VR/IS on..we exchange our cameras a few times as well as increase the aperture(so that the shutter slow down)..we don feel much diff there.....so i assume even SSS is not as good as those 2..it shdnt be too far behind either..
and i know this test wasnt very accurate as we dont have a "standard" to measure the results..all of the results were based on our "feel"...and it might b diff from user to user...

SSS works on ALL lens, that is the marvelous of it.

try find a IS/VR on 50mm prime, or 135prime on others.

but my opinion, SSS works great for really slow shutter, like 1/10 on 18mm, up to 50mm, then 1/20 for 100mm-200mm.

try ask IS/VR on 1/20 on 200mm. (200mm = 1/200ss, 1/20 is 3+1/3 stop)

or was that because my hand is stable? that i can shoot 1/20 on 200mm =.=

(mostly is from albnok's scolding to me... lol) i find that, the FF's are very very basic function,... missing all the fun fun function on lower model... but then, A550 is, handicapped, imcomplete, it sound really good, but there is a lot missing link... idk... maybe buy HX-1... lol got HDvideo, panasweep, good iso1600 too... and 24-4xx zoom! and marco mode... lol!
