actually 135 is not a "traditional" range for portrait on apsc..but its also up the personal pref...if u visit alphanatic..u might notice shadow(our singapore alphadslr mod) been using 70200 on his a700 to shoot his model..n i must say i was deeply poisoned by him..thats y i rented a 70200G to try out on my friends wedding..

I learned something new today. Many thanks for it notworthy.gif Yeah the eagles are to damn fast for my kittes. Shoot like hell and only a few comes up good. Waiting for ier to test with his 200-400mm Definitely can see fish grabbed at the eagle s' leg drool.gif
I see. Since use F42, rarely bumped ISO unless i want to catch the ambient light.
I see. In my package it is a must to get a wedding album. It is scary to think on how much does it costs for that level of photography. My 3 event already costs 5k++ . sweat.gif

kfthoo: The benefit of F2.0 is in the dark, so it can be used as a low-light lens. The 60mm as I remember is a lot sharper than the 90mm (the 90mm can still be used to some extent for portraits but the 60mm is a bit too sharp.)

wanna ask... is there any "operation" i can do for a lens which have dust inside it?? i just saw it by the shelf at home while i was cleaning it... it was my dad's minolta lens... he threw the body after he cracked it n left the lens uncovered...

[attachmentid=1400376]

Kena poisoned until wanna pengsan, then go to the Sony centre, kena poison kaw kaw!!!  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

1) Sony alpha 550 - RM2999
2) SAL18250 - RM 1700 (minus another RM100 as display set, dunno when will stock come, I cannot tahan already)
3) Flash HVL-F20AM - FOC
4) Sony bag - minus RM100 as I downgraded the bag
5) Extended warranty 2 years - RM200

Size of hole in pocket = 4.7k (from my initial budget of 2k  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif)

I couldn't get the new Sony Time 2010 promotion as the shop hasn't receive the new promotion/stock yet. Had to go with the older promotion. However, the guy was very helpful and after haggling and because I paid cash, managed to get the flash FOC and some discounts here and there.

What do you guys think? Is it a good bargain, considering I'm in Sibu and I don't have the luxury to go KL to buy.  hmm.gif

Ermmm... how long to charge battery? 8 hours?

congra ... wait i back sibu then we can have a gathering and sharing experience ... icon_rolleyes.gif

achew: if the personal pref is to stand >10m away from the subject...then i got no comment la...otherwise...at 202mm on aps-c i think it's a bit too much unless moo is going for FF shortly...i can bet...after buying that lens...it will remain in the dry cabinet most of the time until 1 got himself a FF...

furthermore for 70-200G...if 1 shoots at 70mm...it is almost equivalent to 85mm on aps-c...unless ur telling me ur friend shoots his model at 200mm focal length...that is a whole diff story...

since you have a lot of experience in events...i believe it will be quite impossible to shoot an individual/subject at say fixed 200mm focal length on ur FF body...as there is too many ppl obstructing in the mid...same goes to 135mm on aps-c

i've not personally tried 70-200G(dun dare...i'm easily poisoned)...but i guess...70-200G(zoom) or 85mm(prime) would be a better buy for moo at this moment rather than 135mm...

my 2 cents...

macro lens is sharp in nature..i don think the brighter aperture would helps to soften the shot(or it makes any significant diff)..it might makes the DoF shallower..but it's stil a lil bit too sharp for portrait purposes..
*
F2 @ 60mm actually has more DOF than F2.8 @ 90mm

You get the famous T* coating on those CZ filters  cool2.gif
*
So, do u think the CZ lenses still need to use CZ filter since they already hav the coating on it? or just use some like Hoya HD is enough? how about CZ filter on G lens? any advantage of that? thanks

finejava : I've tried albnok's cz135 many times on APS-C bodies. I know it's abit tight. But I like it. But only 20% getting a 135prime la. 80@ getting a big gun if the funds allow me to. (:
