Finally tamed the rattling plaster ceiling over the christmas holidays and completed my DIY bass trap.

It's a 4'x2' panel made up of two back to back pieces of fibre glass acoutic ceiling boards (80kg/cubic meter density)
These are mounted on a home made wooden frame. while the boards are wrapped in speaker cloth.

I also glued similar pieces cut into smaller sizes, on to my rattling ceiling panels and stopped the annoying rattles completely.

The LFE bass is much tighter with less boom and overhang now. rclxms.gif
The absence of the rattling ceiling is a huge huge relief.
Finally, I can truly enjoy the subsonic effects without the added sound effects from my ceiling rclxm9.gif

If anyone is interested, I have left over acoustic ceiling boards that is enuf for another 3 panels.

Will snap some tonight when I get home.
The offending ceiling panels are waiting for the glue to dry before I plaster in the joint lines. Now they look pretty unsightly.
Luckily my HM is very understanding notworthy.gif

Bro, can elaborate more on how do you tame the rattling noise from the plaster ceiling? I'm also experiencing the same thing, the noise is kinda annoying...
