Hi all,
I am planning to purhcase SVS PB13-ultra and sss-02. I understand PB13-ultra is a great sub woofer but not sure about bipole surround speaker (SSS-02), is it value for money and good performance? I try to arrange for a demo on SSS-02 but htkaki have send it back to singapore and I have to make an order before end of this week. Any comments? Thanks!

Over the past 1 week, I have had the chance to try out the SB12-NSD.
Size wise, it is really compact, not much visual appeal aside from the rather modernistic curved front grill.
It is certainly much different from my PC12-NSD.
It is more immediate with a sharper edge to the bass and no overhang. Great for music and concerts.
For movies, each bass note is clearly defined but I do miss the rumble of the PC. The sofa still shakes with every LFE note rather than a trembling effect I get with the PC.

Not sure yet as there are very limited stocks in this shipment. It would be on first come first serve basis. I am checking with the SEA distributor on that.

Update : PC12-NSD DSP is in the list.

The PB12-NSD DSP will only be launched in 2011. The current PB12-NSD ver is going for RM3,240. As of now, 2 more units left.

It will be less PC this time around due to the increase in price. IMHO, better to opt for PB. New price will be out soon.

Still not sure yet! When can I have the info?

i buy two subwoofer i will use two subwoofer so i cannot run 5hours each
i wil use both subwoofer play run 10hours++
why pa speaker also can run 10hours++ he bought pa speaker 2007 now 2010 the woofer naver break 3year already they playing very louder my house i can hear for video shop but midbass only
i prefer deep bass
*
Tat why....coz midbass can play 10 hours++ and deep bass can't play 10 hours ++...so you have to make decision loh.......either go for pa system with midbass which can play 10 hours or go for PB13 ultra with deepbass but can't play max 10 hours........the decision is your.......END OF STORY! else look for it in tesco, sure have what you need!

There will be another member here getting his SVS sub tomorrow smile.gif A couple of SB12-NSDs heading to Langkawi and Kuching. Another one will find a new home in Putra Heights.

For new members, please join SVS Malaysia Club in FB.

On another note, the PB13-U DSP that I installed in a living hall produces quite good result considering the wide opening to 1st floor. Tactile even at a low -30dB.

The second unit installed on the same day in Puchong is in a mid-size room. At LP (roughly abt 10ft), the happy owner said that his legs' hairs are moving, the big leather sofa is shaking and he can feel the ULF. His expression is priceless smile.gif

GreyAero, Danny & Syrius, you are most welcome smile.gif cwyan, don't create minor earthquake in your neighbourhood  tongue.gif

All new owners reported in except one. He must have been enjoying his sub since yesterday tongue.gif

Remy, which sub that you intend to have? brows.gif  Btw, I still have the PC12-NSD BASH.

Yesterday, just tested some movies with my newly bought PB12-NSD.... even with gain 9 o'clock and AVR at -19db walao the sofa was really rumbling, even my mom was keep asking "what is that, what is that" at the kitchen... really damn scared my windows, doors will crack later ..and also worry neighbors complain la...aiya really beh syiok family members keep on making noise.. no fun lo..

IMHO, this thing should not be placed in the living hall ..cannot fully utilize its power...really wanna try to run a bit hotter next time...

Btw, is there a recommended setting for music playing in order to smoothen the tightness of this sub?
*
Hi echoesian. You install the sub into your living hall?

I had advised him to get the Auralex Gramma smile.gif

It is being run hot at abt 2dB since he like bass. I did the calibration for him. Shall I say, my brother. His avr is 2310.

His living hall is quite big and with such big opening, we are able to achieve good LFE result. At -20dB, we tested WOTW Scene 6. He can feel the zaps and the sofa is 'massaging' (borrowed from Taukeh mpyw tongue.gif ) him.

Hi htkaki. What is the difference between 20hz and 15hk? How is the feeling like?
