QUOTE(chewkl @ Sep 1 2010, 03:09 PM) Bro, it is not bottoming out, but just some massive distortion, like something is going to fall apart somewhere. Not sure if it was some part of my living room vibrating or the sub itself. Anyways it just happened once and I can't reproduce it. You mean when you played the scene again (with the same settings) you couldn't hear the distortion? Then it might not be a sub issue.

No no bro, I mean the other scenes do not have this issue. Was too engrossed with the movie to repeat the same scene, and now I cannot remember which one.

There is 2 type of bottoming. One is the driver bottoming issue where you will hear the driver hitting something or the amp at max input which is the digital clipping where you hear distortion. But normally if you don't pass 12 o'clock in your gain, you shouldn't have input clipping issue.

I've seen 12 Rounds before and yes it does have some boomy scenes. But at -20 on your AVR it shouldn't be reaching your sub limits. Or are you running your sub very hot?

Or are you running your sub very hot? Yea at -20dB I didn't expect it at all. Sub is +5dB hot according to Anfieldude's SPL meter.

Surprising if it is -20dB. Elite, can you pinpoint it? Anyway, got new toys to play with... Just got it. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Just got my PC12 Plus from htkaki and after going through a few movies, I can't believe how much bass I've been missing! Only problem is due to its sheer size, I'm having problems reaching my power socket . Special thanks to htkaki and his brother for taking the time and effort to deliver the subwoofer all th e way from seremban to me as well as patiently spending time to calibrate the sub. Great service !

Syrius, hope you enjoy it and don't bring the house down Tq for buying SVS Syrius is using one Got it from hificables.co.uk Added on September 6, 2010, 9:08 amUpdates : Current 12-Plus and 13-Ultra owners will get the chance to upgrade to DSP 800D and 1,000D amps in near future. However, for the initial upgrade plan, there will be very limited units available. I shall update on the price once I have more details This post has been edited by htkaki: Sep 6 2010, 09:08 AM

And i'm not running the subwoofer hot....... LOVING the BLACK DUSTBIN! This post has been edited by SyriuS: Sep 6 2010, 09:56 AM

The placement for the sub is good in your house. Able to maximize its capability. After the Audyssey and calibration, it does perform well.
The sofa next to the PC12-Plus becomes 'butt kicker' sofa liao. LOL.

Elite ronnt's neighbour must be experiencing 5.0 magnitude earthquake everytime he blast his system. On another note, yours is the best. Won't annoy anyone. LOL Bro, how's your 'on steriod' system now?
